ECA from University of Toronto (CES)

You’ll prolly have you ECA report ready by this week, given your transcripts were received on July 22nd. CES still lists 12 weeks on their site.

By the way, I just received mine today by regular mail service. Nearly took 3 weeks to arrive in Brazil since assessment was made.

Do we need to send any photocopies of the credentials that we are looking to assess, or is the uploaded PDF enough?

No first hand experience, but IRCC check that when changing from non accompanying to accompanying, the scores remain above the cutoff, and if scores are same, they are within tie breaker.
As per what I said, if the cutoff date is before the ECA date, there was no valid ECA for your spouse on the draw day, so any increase in points now was void at the draw. Could lead to a misrepresentation and rejection.
Play with the rules cautiously.

Advanced Diploma in Business Administration.

Continuing Education is same as Continuing Studies.... Like University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies

You might want to check the CRS points it gets you then, see if IRCC thinks it’s better than a bachelor’s.

I sent IRCC a message to know if I could claim points for 2 or more Certificates since I have a 4 year Bachelor ECA + 1 year Continuing Education Certificate and they said YES I could go ahead.

CES responded explaining that Continuing Education and Continuing Studies mean the same thing (they are University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies themselves)

They said Universities award only Degrees like Bachelor, Masters and PhD while the Continuing Studies extensions of Universities award Certificates.

I think the term Post-secondary certificate should have been a lot clearer than Continuing Education Certificate.

What do you suggest?

Thanks for your suggestions. I have just decided to wait a few weeks for my spouse ECA report. We will be on 468 with the spouse ECA.

This sounds strange indeed. Are you sure the ECA you received is specifically for immigration purposes? In Assessment Outcome, towards the bottom of the page, you should have something that matches the beginning of one of the lines in this list:

• None, or less than secondary (high school);
• Secondary diploma (high school graduation);
• One-year program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute;
• Two-year program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute;
• Bachelor's degree (three or more year program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute);
• Two or more certificates, diplomas or degrees. One must be for a program of three or more years;
• Master's degree, or professional degree needed to practice in a licensed profession (see Help);
• Doctoral level university degree (PhD).

Yes, it was for immigration.

So I think that should fall under 1 Year program at a University, College, trade or technical school, or other Institute.

I see. This is a tricky situation. It might very well be considered a one-year program, unfortunately. Did you also have your bachelor's assessed?
