Refusal of BOWP

You can't apply for a BOWP if you PGWP is expired and you are out of status, PERIOD.
Read IRCC website. "you have valid status on your work permit". Plain and simple

I don't care what course you are taking. Stop putting out BS and putting people's life in jeopardy. How about you presenting this thread to your instructor next time you go to your class and see what he says.

At the end, it was someone else, not you, so you can go ahead and pass your info. It is up to the person requesting if he wants to listen and do what he think is Ok. Call IRCC and confirm.

There's a huge difference between evidence backed information and complete groundless BS.

Show me anything from IRCC website that can back up your "information"

@ContactFront is right about not eligible for a BOWP if your PGWP has already expired. My assumption is that you had submitted a BOWP application before your PGWP had expired. Thats why you were able to get a work permit at the border. All CBSA officers has access to your immigration applications.

Hi guys i am i need of urgent help here. I applied for BOWP on September 29 i got a refusal on December 5 at that time my PGWP was already expired now they ask me to do a closed workpermit with my employer my employer has refused to go though that ordeal now i am lost about what shall i do i already have my PR file submitted in April 2018 they are doing background checks i went through the MPNP program and my PNP was not employer restricted. i only have 60 days left with me i need urgent advise please help

Its either you somehow convince your employer to help you with the closed work permit application or you will have to change your status to visitor and find a different employer who will support both your MPNP certificate and closed work permit.

After that you just need to update MPNP and they will either issue you a new certificate or just update the new job on their end and with IRCC. And you can have your new employer help you with the closed work permit.

In case my pgwp expires this November and I have not received my closed work permit yet, will I be allowed to continue working for my same employer? Will implied status apply to me and can continue work or should I stop working until my closed permit gets approval?

1. As A PNP holder you were supposed to apply for Bridging open Work Permit that is an open work permit not closed.
2. If you applied for closed work permit, did you have LMIA ?

I have not received AOR for my PNP PR application yet and besides, my nomination has employment restrictions, so I think I will not qualify for a BOWP. So instead, I applied for closed WP. I am just not sure if I will be on implied status and can continue work while waiting for result of closed wp application after my pgwp expires.
