My current TRV is expiring on 21st of this Month..
I am currently living in Australia on work Permit, I am accountant by profession. My Australian visa is expiring in 2021, I have Valid visa for USA which is going to expire in 2026, I have been to, USA 3 times in last 2 years, vistied Canada last year for 10 days, Other places I visited in past years are New Zealand, Hong Kong and Dubai.
Average processing time for Applications in Australia is 20 days, which has already crossed in my case, I am planning to travel to Canada and USA for 2 weeks in 3 week of August, My leave is already approved, could you please suggest should I email them regarding my case status, My brother is traveling with me, He is Australian citizen, he is also wating for my visa so that we can book the tickets..

    Thanks

Unfortunately there's really nothing you can do but wait and hope the TRV is processed in time. The processing times on the IRCC web site are just estimates. It's not at all unusual for processing to take longer.

Scylla what you think? What are chances of TRV getting approved?

Dear All, I need your expert advise please...

I logged into GC and found that my application has been updated.

Timeline :
July 09 Application submitted at VFS Dubai
July 09 Biometrics given same time of submission
July 09 Application linked to GC
July 14 Biometric information updated in GC (Validity 10 years) No correspondence letter received so far by email

Current status: 'We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.'

Can this be a rejection as it's so fast ?

No it is not a rejection besides this is normal. Or don't you want your application to be processed fast?

I was just curious as a member had got her Biometrics updated in GC only after a month from submission date.

Also, if you can advise is it a mandatory to receive the Biometrics correspondence paper by email ? I haven't received anything yet.

I can't ascertain for sure because CIC is very unpredictable. Today they are fast on this application next it may take months for the next. As you they have updated your application, just know for sure that your application is in progress. Forget about other people's application and their timeline. Focus on yours and those similar to yours.

Best wishes

I wonder if there are any cases of people being approved for trv after a extremely long wait... I’ve been waiting 12 weeks now however average processing times are 6 weeks... no response on a case specific enquiry either

The short answer is yes - absolutely. There are plenty of people who have been refused after a long wait and plenty who have been approved. The length it takes to process your application isn't an indicator of refusal or approval.

I wonder if there is any limit at all or they can take however long they wish.. it’s absolutely ridiculous tbh..

There's no official limit. I'd expect you'll be hearing back soon.

This is regarding sponsoring of my infant born in India.
Will you be please able to throw information for the following queries as well.
I am a dentist right now working in mideast.
I am planning to relocate in Mar 2021 after my contract ends here. By then my wife and I would've already covered 3 years out of Canada since our soft landing in Apr 2018.. Meanwhile I plan to travel for my exams (2 visits) in 2020.
I was thinking of travelling with family for weeks time during my visit for exam.
1. Should I be mentioning all these in my LOE when I apply for my infants TRV
2. Do I have to open a new account in the name of my son and apply on his behalf?
3. If issued what is the likely time frame of TRV ( eg multiple entry/single entry for 6 mo, 1 year etc)
4. Can I apply for a TRP directly? - I couldn't find any link
5. Usually what all docs will they ask for? ( My family who are currently with me is going on vacation coming month to Ind and is planning to apply from there. Will I have to submit letter from my employer and so?
Thanks in advance. Any help will be much appreciated

So I used a phone number and an online tool. They asked me for my uci and my application number etc. It wasn’t found on their system. They said it means that my application hasn’t been opened yet. However it’s been way over the processing times. I created two case specific enquiries and never got a response. Review of my eligibility started 3 months ago. And now my application isn’t even on their system. I really don’t know what to do now... I’ve seen people on this forum applying from the U.K. after me and getting responses.
