Since this program was just recently launched (June 18, 2019), I guess it would be a trial and error with the first few applicants. And since, if I understood it correctly, processing takes at least 12 months ( anyone, please correct me if I am wrong), then and only then, with the sharing of those who've applied, could we really know if work experience or education related to caregiving is really required. My sister is hesitant in employing me right now.

Hi,

Im planning to get my cousin back home. She graduated BS Marketing. She is set to take Caregiver Course, i've read in this thread that one does not need to take this course. Is this correct? Also, as a sponsor, do I need to post first job offer on job sites example indeed.com? Or no need for the new program?
Thank you in advance!!

Where is your cousin from? I would think she would need some sort of education or experience related to caregiving.

Posting an ad is required for LMIA application. For the new program, LMIA is not necessary/required

Hi , my cousin is from the Philippines. She has TESDA caregiving certificate. Does she need caregiving 6 months course?

So no need to post job offer, right? Just fill out the job offer form and send it to my cousin, right?

....can anyone who has a college degree not related to medical or caregiver, qualify for the new pilot programs?

.... is it required to have work experience in child care for Home Child Care and work experience in taking care of the elderly for Home Support Worker?
yes, as per the process you need to provide proof of work experience in this field.

As per CIC "We use any past experience or training you have to decide if you’re able to do the work described in the NOC job description (lead statement)."

Hello!

Does anyone think that Flight Attendants could qualify as child caregivers, since they have completed first aid training? I also have experience with childcare, I have taken care of my cousins children already (she would like to be my employer), but that's it, I don't have official paid work experience as a caregiver. But I've been working as a Flight Attendant for more than one year. Thank you for your help in advance. I am only thinking about this option :) so I just want to gather some info

Hello everyone!

As an employer, will it matter if I live with my whole family in our house? Will it be grounds for denial of the caregiver back home for the reason that, Immigration might think that I have a lot of help at home, why get caregiver outside Canada. My family are all adults and are all working, in short, they are busy. The caregiver will have spare room in our house.

I remember my friend mentioning to me that her is in law was denied because of this reason. (Maybe 5years ago). Is anyone here have the same situation or experience? Thank you in advance.

Since LMIA is no longer required, does anyone know if employer has to submit job offer to IRCC using Employer Portal?
