Dear Immigration experts,
My name is Rao & I'm an International student in Canada with a study permit, had enrolled full-time in a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) in Vancouver BC. During the first semester all my classes are having an option to take online. So I am hoping to stay at my friends place which is not in Vancouver but it is in the same province BC (in the Okanagan region). Here I am not sure if I can do part time work & live in that region or not.
The CIC website says International students in Canada with a study permit who are enrolled full-time in a Designated Learning Institution (DLI), can work off campus, So does this means you can work for any employer in any occupation anywhere in Canada ? otherwise will there be any issues in future with school or immigration. Please advise
Note: My study permit conditions are "may accept employment on or off campus if meeting eligibility criteria as per r186(f) (v) or (w)"

Thank you & Best regards

You need to be studying at school and not online as an international student. Otherwise there would be no need to be in Canada or working in Canada.

Alright thank you for response but is there any problem if we do study at the school and working in a different region with in the same province ?

That is fine but you must not be an online student.
Okay Got it! Thank you & yea I'm not an online student & just for some courses I have choice of taking classes via cloud meetings, so trying to manage my part time work as well.

Be very careful. Classes should be on campus or else there would be no reason to be in Canada you could have studied from your home country. Assume your goal is PGWP so your priority should not be work it should be remaining a full-time student. Not distance or online student.
