Hi

I’m from Syria - Damascus I was married and have 3 kids and I get divorced with my wife in May 2019 ,After 3 months I get married again from my friend's sister ( that from two weeks ago ) she come here to see her friends and we got married after this she went back to Canada ( she stay in Syria for 2 weeks ) ,And she is holding Canadian PR from 3 years ago she have a job in Canada and she live in Ottawa ,So I have some questions about this situation and need some answers here please :

1- Can she sponsor me as her husband to come to Canada ( the marriage was totally legal and we have papers ) ?

2- I checked the processing time at cic and I saw it 12 month is that right or it’s longer that this ?

3- In there any interview at the embassy in Lebanon because in Syria the embassy is closed ?

4- The most important question is there is that interview that they see if this marriage is real or fake and they ask specific question for each one of us about our life and our financial etc. things in Canada .. so the question is ( when the date of this interview is ) after 1 , 2 or 3 years in Canada … ???

Thank you all guys

1. Yes
2. Yes - it's 12 months for straight-forward applications but can take a great deal longer if you require an interview or there are any concerns with your application.
3. There will be an interview if they have concerns if your relationship is genuine.
4. You will need to submit evidence with your application to prove the relationship is genuine and that you didn't enter into the marriage for the sole purpose of getting PR. The fact you got married so quickly after your divorce may be a concern to IRCC and may be regarded as a red flag. How many times did you meet your sister's friend before you marrried her? If you married her on her first trip to see you - that's definitely a red flag. If an interview is required, it will be BEFORE your PR status is granted.

So Sir
You mean this interview (the personal questions) they will make it between us before i get the visa ...?
How about that and i did't live with her more than 2 weeks and in hotel room ?
My point is that personal question we will earn the answers after we live in the same house in Canada and share the bank account share the rent go to cinema together and etc. ....
P.S : In this period 12 month before i get the visa for sure she will come to me to spend holidays and visit me in my country home ..

I'm not a "sir:
- Yes, if an interview is required, it will be done before you get the visa.
- It sounds like you've spend minimal time with her. If that's the case, it will be more challenging for you to put together a strong application.
- Your answers to the personal questions don't make sense. IRCC won't care what you plan to do in the future. To make sure you are a genuine couple, they will be looking at the past (i.e. how much time you've spent together before applying, etc.)
- That is good.

There will also certainly be concerns about the speed of this arranged marriage after divorce given it also involved international travel. Given that this woman must be 25 or under there will also be some doubt as to why her parents have not arranged a marriage with someone who has never been married before.

1- Can she sponsor me as her husband to come to Canada ( the marriage was totally legal and we have papers ) ? Yes She can sponsor you if you have a wedding picture and Marriage certificate

2- I checked the processing time at cic and I saw it 12 month is that right or it’s longer that this ? It depends my case was seven months till my wife gets here

3- In there any interview at the embassy in Lebanon because in Syria the embassy is closed ? Again it's depends of each case but 90% they don't do interview for my case was no interview

4- The most important question is there is that interview that they see if this marriage is real or fake and they ask specific question for each one of us about our life and our financial etc. things in Canada .. so the question is ( when the date of this interview is ) after 1 , 2 or 3 years in Canada … ??? If you improve your marriage with document support the picture and copy on how you talk through WhatsApp messenger they needed

Thank you all guys
