I think decisions will be made on or before 31st because they know school resumes August .
Thank you guys... you all will hopefully hear from IRCC in a day or two cause passport stamping is a must for TRV which take 3-7 days including the passport transfers and we cannot enter canada after our college starts. If we get a passport submission request it obviously means our study permit is approved. Wish to hear from you all with approvals.

Biometric - 24 July updated in gc key on same date - No email
Medical upfront - updated in gckey 1 August - No email
Biometric correspondence letter - 20 August 00.51 IST - Got 1 email from cic
Passport request - 22 August 02.51 IST - 1 email from cic.
This forum was really helpful to maintain myself calm. All have different profiles and different processing times. Just have hope and wait for it. Wish and pray for everyone to get ur visa soon. Thanks again for those who took time and shared the information.

As many of you were, I was a silent follower of this thread, and I just got my passport request today, 21st of August. I’m applying from the US for a study permit.
For those who are concerned about the received emails, I got two emails from “donotreply”, and there were two minutes period between them.
Here’s my timeline:
Applied on the 7th of August.
Did Biometrics on the 15th of August, updated the same day.
Medical test is not applied for me.
21st of August correspondence letter, and passport request letter.
Note : I’m not sure if that helped, but I sent a webform explaining my situation as classes start on the 2nd of September.
For those who are applying from the US, walk-ins for Biometrics are not permitted anymore. You have to make an appointment, and if you apply for an appointment, the system will generate you the nearest available appointment in three weeks from the applying date. Personally, I thought I couldn’t wait for three weeks, so I tried to do a walk-in. First, I went to a USCIS department in Louisville, KY. I tried to explain my situation, but the lady there was rude although I was very concerned about the way I talk to her. It didn’t work in Louisville. I thought I’d give it another shot in another USCIS department, so I went to Nashville, TN. I told the security guy about my situation, and he said you have to have an appointment, but you can come at 12 pm, and I’ll let you talk to the head of the department. So I went there as he told me, and I explained my situation to the head, and finally yeah. They let me do the Biometrics, and it was updated on the same day.

I applied in sds category online , when can i expect my decision and i have a doubt because my review of eligiblity has not started yet.. is it happens that it get updated together with decision?

Exactly same timeline as mine. Review has not started only medical has passed. I guess in two days or max by next week. We will get
