Called CIC on Friday, lady on the phone said, file is at Vancouver Office and background check is in process..

BG: We are processing your background check.
No updates afterwards!!

Checked the immi trakcer, wasn't of much help.
Does anyone know about the average handle time of Vancouver Office?

Hi, My application is in Vancouver office too. My AOR is on May 29. Call cic and tvey told me that they have not touched my application. Have you had any update? Thank you

Guys,
Called in CIC help desk, they said my application is in Vancouver office. Is that bad I dont se too many record on immi tracker with visa office as Vancouver and what ever record do have it as visa office those i see get PPR email almost always 5-6 months..
am I destined to wait for an eternity :-(

No luck man ..odds have taken a greater dip...CIC agent on call told the file was moved to Montreal from Vancouver. since then I have stopped worrying about it ..Montreal visa office seems to be the slowest of all and I hardly see any update on Montreal cases any any forums..so left it on fate.

My AOR is May 19th, i just called cic, they told my criminality check is in progress and nothing else has started. It is the same status which i can see in my login. Vo is Vancouver.

Same. They couldn’t open my crim file (tech glitch) so my app got transferred from NS to Vancouver where it sits dormant to this day

No! I called CIC on Aug 16, lady on the phone said, these is no update since my last call on Jul 19..
Criminality is still in process!!!

One thing she mentioned was that the file has been moved to GTA (Etobicoke office) from Vancouver... But I do not know why and how when they have not touched my file..

They do it for load management. They don’t need a reason or to mark it as moved. Happens to the majority of applications.

congrats,,may i know which IMM form they asked for?

IMM 5707 Family info. I did not indicate 2 parents since i have only one listed in my birth certificate. So i had to submit some supporting docs (i.e birth cert) and explanation letter. I honestly thought it would significantly extend processing time but it did not.
