Hello. I’m an inland applicant under Common-Law Sponsorship and my application was already transferred to IRCC Etobicoke a month ago at it’s way past the normal processing time as well because it’s more than a year since they started our application. Until now I haven’t heard anything from the IRCCEtobicoke. May I ask for your advice on what can I do to follow up or something? I’m just worried what if I’m gonna get refused or anything. Thank you.

Hello, I already did order the notes and just waiting for them to be sent. May I ask what is MP?
Your local Member of Parliament. They will have an office somewhere in your neighbourhood, and you can go there with your file and ask them to help you out. Most MPs are quite helpful when it comes to things like that.

Oh, I didn’t know about that. Do you know by any chance if their service is for free or they charge you for it? And what do I have to tell them? Just ask for help with my application? Thank you.

It's free. You are a member of their constituency, and most MPs consider it their duty to help you out. Just go with your file and all details, and they will have someone there who can tell you if they can help. Usually they send a letter to IRCC and get a response.

If they cannot help, they will tell you that. There's no downside to going and asking for help.

Okay, and for my file, do I have to bring the forms that I sent? Like the whole application?
