You need to call them once you are here. They will help setup your appointments and usually they can wait for public coverage to start.Hi, can you put light on this topic further, you must have by now gone through this surveillance process, after how much time from landing do we need to do this, what happens if we are only doing soft landing now and planning to come after 6-8 months?
Call Toronto public health , number would be present on your surveillance form, else you can just find it onlineHi! Anyone who already complied to medical surveillance notice share their experience on how to comply? I got my student permit with medical surveillance notice for inactive tb. Do I need to call first the public health center or I can directly go there?
Do you know what usually they tell you? Apart from brief interview, are they asking to submit/fax/email all your medical reports and the medical surveillance form? This is maybe hard for me since I have no one can help me atleast to scan my forms to email it to them. Im going there alone with no relatives.Call Toronto public health , number would be present on your surveillance form, else you can just find it online

Would imagine they may want you to come in and do a chest x-ray or report any cough. That is if you are being monitored for TB.Do you know what usually they tell you? Ohh. How many times did you that (xray and cough monitoring)? So basically the call you will be making is just for them to schedule your appointment for your xray?Would imagine they may want you to come in and do a chest x-ray or report any cough. That is if you are being monitored for TB.
I believe the initial contact is just to get on the list of people they are monitoring. I think the level of monitoring and when/if you’d have to visit public health would vary case by case. Not sure if and when you’ll have to do a chest x-ray. Canada keeps track of everyone with communicable diseases like can be for various reasons. Medical surveillance won’t be a big deal.Ohh. Yes, please plan to bring all your past prescriptions and medical reports. The doctor that you would be referred to could ask for these to make decisions based on those. Remember that it is your goal to prove that your medical condition is not a threat to public health. Not having these documents could in the worst case mean you are kept on a longer surveillance and asked for routine check ups or treatment.Do you know what usually they tell you? Thank you. I can easily provide those documents upon check-up with the doctor. Im just worried if the they asked me to email or fax these documents before I go to my appointment doctor because I have no way to scanner to email it to them or fax machine.Yes, please plan to bring all your past prescriptions and medical reports. Thank you so much. I guess I just have to call them first and wait for further instructions. I hope this wont cause me hassle and huge expense.
