Hello!! I'm new to this site...October 2018 applicant.
Finally I've got a message from Montreal office. It says...

We are ready to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CoPR).
In order to finalize your permanent residence, you may present yourself to the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) office listed below within 30 days from the date of this notice:

I understand that this is a CoPR letter!?
And there is no date for interview...I will receive another mail? Or I can go and get interview anytime!? I don't need to get appointment??

I really appropriate if someone can help me.

Has anyone had any issues travelling while their application is processing? We're still at the medical passed stage (since March) and have two big family events coming up, one in September one in October and really would like to fly home (to the UK) for a month visit. My partner hasn't seen friends and family in two years. I understand it isn't advisable, however we would also be terribly upset if we stayed and there was still no progress on our application.

As I understand it, once you get the interview, you have 30 days to complete it? Is that correct? By rights if we are called for an interview while away, but have 30 days to complete it, this shouldn't be an issue? We feel so stuck! Hoping for good news for EVERYONE soon

We have traveled outside Canada three times since applying, with no issues. I feel that the fact that he holds a work permit facilitated the entry process, even if just by a tiny bit. However, we've never left longer than 7 days. So I can't tell you if the duration of your trip would be an issue (I've read that the shorter the trip, the better).

In Montreal office, yes, that's correct. It shouldn't be an issue if you complete your landing within that 30 day period. Otherwise, you would have to ask them to reschedule.

So am I right to assume landing is different from coming into the country? For example if we get a letter/email to land within 30 days while in the UK, flying back into Canada is seperate from the PR landing? As in, crossing borders.

Yes, for an inland sponsorship application, landing would be different from crossing borders. If you get the letter while in the UK, you will enter Canada as a visitor (if you have visitor status) or whatever other legal status you have in Canada. And then, you will have to go land at Montreal office. There will be no landing occuring at the airport.
