You will not be rejected, they don't do it for random reasons. Detroit - Windsor border agents are known to be a little more strict. But all that will do is add more questioning/scrutiny. It will not cause rejection.

Thank you for your answer. which border do you think is good for me other than detroit windsor gate?. I am asking this because though I have a valid visa status, my visa expired about two months ago.

There is no "good border". All CBP agents will use same rules and regulations to determine if one is admissible or not hence there is no point in border shopping to use AVR. AVR rules are very clear, either you qualify for it or you dont so if you do qualify for it, I would strongly suggest you to use the closest and most convenient border crossing post which works for you. Just follow all steps which we generally have to follow while trying to enter of H1 such as being in active job, carry paystubs, client letters, employment verification letters etc. as if you are entering at an airport. Even if you are selected for secondary, it will not cause any issues except some additional minutes before you are allowed back in US if your documentation is clean. Good Luck for your landing!

Like above, it does not matter where you go. At most the agent may do more scrutiny/questioning.

you won't be denied entry anywhere, I strongly recommend 'Detroit - Windsor' border as the agents over there would be more familiar with AVR rules as they come across lot of commuters on a daily basis. I entered in to US through same border after landing, and my experience was a breeze. He just asked how many days you have been out, took all passports and i797, and let us in.
