Just finished my inland, landing interview (CEC). Appointment time was at 2pm and we arrived at around 1:40pm(my wife and myself). Got a number and waited about 40 mins before it was called. Went up, was asked the address where the pr card will be going, and proceeded to change it as we moved recently.

He then took all the necessary documents, asked us the confirmation questions, got us to sign COPR, and that was it!

He asked how we met and where we work, but it seemed more conversational than an actual inquiry as we laughed a bit after telling him the story. All in all, a good and relatively quick experience, and I don't think the feeling has truly seeped into my skin yet.

My landing is at Etobicoke, and we are currently getting our SIN changed, same building. All of this to say, if you're like me and your middle name should actually be paranoid, don't fret. Once you get that landing email, it's definitely PR. My eternal gratefulness to everyone on this forum for helping me through some sleepless nights and wondering days, I hope everyone can get PPR or the landing email.

Sidenote, he only took the stamped and signed picture for both of us, why do they ask for 2?

Guys i still do have a query, I had applied PR only for myself and child. if I wish to take my husband on Visitor visa for the initial settling down help, can he apply for TRV quoting my PR and child care as the reason?

any thoughts on this one?

Hey all, my landing interview was a breeze today at Vancouver Office! The officers were engaging and fun to talk to.

I handed over my passport, work permit, old study permit, 2 photos, Payment confirmation page for right to PR (but the officer didn't really care!)

Appointment was at 9:30am and I was called right on dot at 9:30am and it took 10-15mins and I was out as a PR!

I have been a silent reader in this forum till date. Finally, I got my PPR email on 07/10.

Profile info:
AOR: December 15th
Applicants: 1 Principal applicant + 1 dependent
Ip2: July 2nd
Ghost update: 07/09

My wife and I have been living in Singapore.She went back to India on 07/08 because her visa got expired. Unfortunately, in the PPR email, we are asked to submit our passports in High Commission Canada in Singapore. Is it possible to change her visa office to Bangalore, India by requesting IRCC?. If yes,what has to be done? Need your advice ASAP in this regard.

I am confused where should I move. I am a digital marketer and would like to do the same job there.

Yes if you haven't paid rprf upfront, then they will send you a message to pay it.. and according to me, it does not make much difference if you have paid it upfront or pay it later.

Here is the final timeline of my application:

1. AOR - 13th Dec'18
2. MEP: 23rd Jan'19
3. IP2: Around 15th-21st Jun'19 (no update for almost 5 months!)
4. ADR: request for payment of RPRF 21st Jun'19
5. PPR: 25th Jun'19
6. Sent through VFS on 2nd Jul'19

Please click your photographs from professional photographers only, those who have experience in Canada Visa passport photographs as per the specification. We tried with a professional one who did Visa photographs for Aus and USA, turns out the photo was not up to the measurements. We wasted 4-5 hours, some cash and ended up with frustration. In the end, we had to repeat the process and spend more time, money etc.

Be careful while choosing the photographer.

7. Application approved and document found valid (final approval) 10th Jul'19.
