Do i require original letter of employment? Is it okay to submit print-out i got from employer?

Hi All,
I am one step closer to submit file of my spouse under the family class spouse sponsorship program.
I got stuck on employment letter.

In checklist IMM5533E,
Section 5 -> Employment/Source of Income
( If you are working in Canada, provide an original letter from your current employer stating your period of employment, salary, and regular
hours per week or supporting financial documents if you are self-employed AND one of these documents issued by the Canada RevenueAgency (CRA)).


I was told to submit original letter from current employer.
However, I asked my employer and they provided me scanned copy on my company's email address.

Should the print out of scanned copy suffice?

No, provide them what they ask for - an original on company letterhead. Ask your HR department again and let them know you can't get a scanned copy.

I actually provided a scanned copy and have been approved to be sponsor.

Because they have changed the checklist in may so far i remember.
