I did two times without responseFor me it has been over 30 days, did you call or email them back?
A direct landing interview only applies if you're from a visa-exempt country. A friend of mine from Malaysia got a PPR email instead of a direct landing interview email (Malaysians need a visa to enter Canada). My theory on why they’re a bit slow with CEC is that most CEC applicants are inland, hence there’s no rush for IRCC to change our status since we’re already in Canada legally. On the other hand, most FSW applicants are outland, and IRCC probably reasoned that they would need an earlier heads up so they can prepare to move (which, I assume, is a pretty big undertaking).Legend has it that CEC cases are taking longer than the rest to process because of the direct landing interview. Anyone here is able to confirm that? I have only heard of FSW applicants getting PPR recently and not many CEC applicants
1) You can apply BOPW, check details before applyingHello Everyone,
AOR: Feb 09, 2019
MEP: March 29, 2019
ADR: March 29, 2019
Visa Office: Sydney
no updates afterward.
I am currently trying to extend my work permit as it expires on August 02, 2019, I have a PGWP and I have a few questions:
When filling out the online questionnaire, I came across a problem.
I am currently working, so for the question: "Do you have a written job offer? " - I selected "yes"
However, for this question: "Which situation best describes your work situation? " - I selected "none of the above" because the options did not apply to me.
the final question which is "Do you have a Labour Market Impact Assessment issued by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC)?" - I selected "No" - because I did not need one under my PGWP.
Please advise, how I can go about extending my work permit because I am confused according to the CIC website, I should be able to

Your response would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

1) You can apply BOPW, check details before applying
2) Did you put job offer yes in your application of PR ?
3) you should read, understand first, what is valid job offer.
4) having job in PGWP is not valid job offer for express entry, you need LMIA approved !!
Hi @divine015,Answers to your question.
1) I have checked the details, but when answering the questionnaire for BOPW it does not provide a choice for those with PGWP
2) I did not select yes in my PR, only in the questionnaire to get BOWP because if I don't then I will only be given the option to apply for Temporary travel visa not an extension of work permit.
This is simply not right. I am originally from China, which is not a visa-exempt country, but I still get the direct landing interview at CIC etobicoke. Only a small amount of people are invited to landing directly inland but nothing to do with visa-exempt country.A direct landing interview only applies if you're from a visa-exempt country.
