Hi everyone. I have applied for spousal visa from Dubai vfs and it shows still processing. My wife is on study permit and she is in Canada right now.I applied on March but there is no response from the embassy. Can anybody guide me, how long it takes for the processing and all.

Hello everyone, my passport was about to expire, I renewed my passport and now I have to renew my SOWP to match my huband's. We applied for express entry... should I put in the Letter of explanation that we are trying to be a permanent resident? Thanks!
Yes it's always better to apply from the country of your residence.
I applied from India for an open work permit and got it within a week. It's too fast provided your documents are suffice and your medicals were done.
My timelines for your reference:
Applied on 9th May 2019
Got request for passport on 13th May 2019 and a submitted my passport the same day
Received passport on 17th May 2019

My husband (Dependent) application was submitted via mail on the same day - April 26, 2019. I have not yet received any update on his open work permit application/ no medical request until now. Its already 8 weeks now. Are there chances of rejection? The CIC website shows 9 weeks for processing work permit application. Please suggests next steps?
Its a paper based application. Anybody else from Pakistan here? I have to join program in Sept, 19

It is said to be 7 weeks according to the official website. However, I called the IRCC and according to the voice message, mailed applications after Feb.17,2019 have not processed yet with the estimated processing time about 180 days and online applications after Mar.12,2019 have not processed yet with the estimated processing time about 95 days.
I also applied on March. Till now no updates.. There are applicants who has not got any updates after 22 weeks. Processing from dubai is too slow

Need some advice regarding renewing my work permit as follows below:
My passport expires on August 25, 2019 and by virtue of that, my Canadian Visa and work permit. I am in the process of renewing my passport at the moment. I am considering renewing the work permit via visiting the border but am concerned about re entering Canada as my Visa would have been invalidated (because I renewed my passport). Should I expect any issues re entering Canada via the flagpoling process/renewing at border?

I've applied for my wife's work permit on May 16th. Medical cleared on 20th, biometric on 21st. And since then it's showing background check in process.
Online processing time shows 5 weeks. And it has been 6 weeks.
Can someone please update everyone who gets their spouse open work permit approved so everyone gets an idea on the timeline to process the application?
