Hi everyone,
thank you for taking out time to read my post. I have quite a difficult question. I used to live in canada when I was younger (orignally sponsored under my father). My father and mother divorced and therefore he moved back home and mom came back as well. I stayed in canada for about three years and got my permanant residency. However, because of some family problems I had to come back home (Pakistan) and take care of my mother. It has been about 4 years since I left canada which means I have lost my PR. I want to move back to canada now. My fiance who is a resident in the U.S, went to an attorney who adviced her to apply for my traveling documents. She is going to go to some other lawyer's consultation and see what they have to say. Is there anything that any of you could advise me? The attorney told my fiance it is better to apply for me from the U.S instead of Pakistan, as the Pakistani immigration is usually slower and not so efficient. Help please, I would really like to hear some feed back. What do you guys think is the best way to go?
