Hi everyone. We submitted our application in July 2017, had 2 terrible interviews. We received an Ecas update in a week ago and are waiting for a letter of refusal. We plan to appeal. We started exploring this forum. it gives us hope. Please let us know how long to wait for a letter of refusal after changing status to Ecas and how quickly we have to file an appeal.

Yes, we have some. My husband is younger me, they said terrible things in an interview and said they did not believe. The last interview was in June 2018, there was no more news. We addressed MR many times, ordered GCMS notes, no changes during all this time occurred. they just pulled time. Our medicine has long expired and they have not requested updates. Therefore, everything speaks of failure.

I think the reason is that he has already sponsored his ex-wife and all my relatives live in Canada. Our case is really difficult, but why was it so time consuming, they canceled my visa, but I never broke anything, we could not often see. And now again many months of waiting. But during this time we have become much closer, we need each other and we will fight. I did not think that my husband would be so hard to experience this situation, he is very depressed. He did his best to confirm our relationship, he even went to the ministerial office in Torono, but unfortunately there did not help. He wants to file a complaint against the officer for delaying the process. Now he is looking for a lawyer

At the interview in June, he said that they did not believe us and refused. And the decision appeared only a couple of days ago. Security checks did not started, back ground also. What did they do for a whole year? I do not know.We are waiting for the letter. And then the "blue book

We knew each other a couple of years before the wedding, but we didn’t have evidence like photos or correspondence, but mutual friends can confirm. He is younger by 8 years. But we are very comfortable together. We believe that we can go through these difficulties.

Sad news :( Depressing case...
Hello all! I am newly registered here, I am sponsoring my husband, however we both live outside canada because we do not want to separate during the application process. The whole process went through quite smoothly in the past 6 months, however we have received a Rejection/Refusal letter from the local visa office ( Hong Kong ). We are so heart broken, the refusal reason was they are “not satisfied” with the evidence to proof that I had intention to move back.

2 weeks ago they have requested us for the evidence before the decision was made, we sent it in right away upon request. I’ve tried to sent them the most convincing documents as possible. Yet, they just turn us down without giving a chance of interview to explain things further.

I am planning to go to the Consulate on Monday, and will also apply for Appeal.
Do I need to send in other evidence along with the appeal form?
million thanks if anyone here could give me some advise...we did everything by ourselves because we really can’t afford a lawyer or a consultant. And It seems they dont trust me in moving back makes me feel like I am not welcome to return to my country :’(
Hi there! So sorry to hear about your situation. Did you receive approval as a sponsor? Did they refuse you for that reason after requesting biometric and medical check?

He is a Canadian citizen. Moved to Canada more than 20 years ago from Russia. I'm from Ukraine. We met when I came to visit my daughter in Canada. where are you from? And how long are you waiting decision?

Oh my, I feel for you... I am also Ukrainian and our case is all one big red flag... I guess we have same chances of refusal. But, as u stated, ready to fight!!! Why two interviews? U was the only one interviewed or husband too? They canceled your visa to Canada? :( I am upset to hear about your situation...
they just called me twice. At first they tried to put pressure on me. I thought I was in the "Gestapo. It was a huge shock. The second time they said they found bad information about my husband on the Internet. I was shocked the second time. The husband stayed with me and took care of me. people get to know each other better in trouble. we coped with it and got even closer. and we will go further

One thing I can tell u, if you plan to appeal you need to overcome the reasons of refusal... I still don’t understand why would someone refuse your case just because u r 8 years older. It’s unfair!!! I think there must be something more to it than just age difference... maybe not enough proof or marriage right after meeting? Or not visiting each other? I will hold my fingers crossed for you guys!
thanks for the support. we spent a year together in Canada, then they called me for an interview and took my passport with a visa, at the second interview it was canceled without consequences. During this time, my husband flew 4 times. we really want to see the reason

Thanks JYC one more thing to ask how much time they take in court room, i got letter of full hearing where they have mentioned 9 am to 5 pm.
A full hearing time is 9-5 with 1 hr break in between . Most cases will finish within the day, if you can't finish it within the day they will just reschedule another day to continue at where you left off. In a typical marriage is not genuine case, you and your spouse will be asked the same questions( the genesis of your relationship, how did your relationship evolved to the point of marriage, what happen at your wedding, what happen after your marriage etc and all the red flags in your blue book). You need to make sure you and your spouse's answers are the same, also the answers have to match what you put in your application forms because both the Judge and the MC will study your bluebook in great details before your hearing. I have seen couple got KO at the hearing because their answers do not match what they put in their application forms, you need to study your blue book carefully.
