Hi,

Here is the timeline for my TRV application from UK (For Indian).
Online submission: April 28
Biometrics request: May 2
Biometrics submission (London VFS): May 14
Biometrics updated online: May 15
No updates since then.
Review of eligibility: We will let you know when we start reviewing your eligibility
Background check: In progress

Anyone with similar timeline and have got the approval? I heard that London VO takes more time to process online applications. Kindly let me know your timelines/ further information if anyone of you have applied in London.
Thanks!

I did the same too. Webforms will not help much. VFS do not handle online applications and asks to get in touch with CIC. So yes both options doesn't help. Please do let me know if your review of eligibility starts. From what I have understood from this forum, once the review starts, you can expect a decision soon (Atleast in most of the cases).
By the way when are you planning to travel?

My flight is on 22 June. I don't understand why someone get their visa within 3 days and we need to wait for more than one month

Mine is June 22 too. I got to know from this forum recently that it is not advisable to book confirmed flight tickets unless the visa is approved. Bad luck for us. Paper applications, atleast in UK are definitely processed faster as far as I understand. Also people who post 3 days to 1 week for approval maybe getting it under the CAN+ category. They might not explicitly mention it. I am just hoping we get a decision atleast by next week so that there is enough time to submit passport and get them back. Atleast you should be getting your decision by next week as you didn't delay your biometrics. Let us hope for the best!

I also have the USA visa. And the only thing we can do wainow is waiting. By the way, if I send webform everyday, are they going to reply me sooner?

It is not advisable to do that. But some people still do it. I would suggest you to give it some time. Perhaps try sending in one by this Friday or next Monday. I am planning to do the same. Even if you have a valid US visa, it is upto the officer to decide whether they can process your application under CAN+ I guess. Do let me know if you get any updates in your account in the next couple of days.

Sorry to hear that. The average processing time as per CIC for UK based applicants is around 22 days. And these are 22 working days if I understand it right. We missed some days due to public holidays in between as well. Also to get a response to webforms, we will have to wait 22 days after application submission. It is very unfortunate that the TRV process is so time and effort consuming. What we can only do is wait. Meanwhile see if you can get some refund from your flight booking or if you can postpone your tickets by a longer time period say 1 or 2 months to reduce your monetary loss. Did they start reviewing your eligibility by any chance?

That is why it is advised to not book tickets, just reserve, unless the visa is approved.

The processing time means Calendar days and not working days now.

Thanks for the message. I have seen you as an active contributor in this forum. Thanks for that. Just wanted to ask you whether you know of the general trend for UK based online applications in last 2 to 3 months. Are most of them taking longer time to process? I did read through some threads but couldn't guage it better. Perhaps you could give a better perspective based on your experience.

I did not expect the visa application process will take that long:/ I have only read the official website before applying and it said the processing time would be 17 days. I have got a U.S visa and residency in the UK which I thought might help to speed up the application process.....lesson learnt...

It differs depending upon number of files at that point of time for processing and also on the type of file.
