Hi guys, are any updates available for this? I have recently gotten my COPR and wanted to have my mother and brother with me on my first landing, just to help me settle in; they will only stay for about a month...Do you guys think I should scan and attach my COPR to their TRV application?

Any advice will be greatly appreciate! @sehrishk @vrtripathi1 @msudershan2

Thank you!

Hello,

I got nomination from Nova scotia in march 2019 and currently my application is under process in express entry and expected to get PR in couple of months.
I am primary applicant and my wife and 2 children are dependent.
My question is whether my parents can land with us on visitor visa.
Also please give suggestions about visitor visa application.

I am from India.

Thanks in advance.

There's a very high rate of refusals when you try to apply for a visitor visa to have your parents accompany you to Canada. When you do this, IRCC typically has concerned that your parents have plans to remain in Canada long term or are being brought to Canada for a number of months to take care of your children (which is classified as illegal work).

It's strongly recommended that you move to Canada with your family first and then have your parents apply for a visitor visa once you have lived in Canada for several months.
