Biometrics Common Law Sponsorship

Hello,

I am a bit confused with the biometrics issue...

So I applied for Common Law Sponsorship, my Canadian partner sponsors me (German), inland. We are both in Canada.
I also applied for an open work permit.
I paid 1040 for PR and 255 for the open work permit.

Now I've read about biometrics. And that they will probably request it.
I saw there is no place in Canada where you can do that? So I have to go to Germany for that? I apply inland to immigrate and then I have to fly to Germany to fulfill requests for the inland application? I hope that is a bad joke or that I totally misunderstood that... I also did not pay the fee upfront.

Thanks for any hints with this!

I'm pretty sure inland applicants are exempt from biometrics. Unless it was a special circumstance
