Hi LegalFalcon!
I was requested for re-medicals on 14th May and passed them on 21st May.
I called CIC on Friday and was told that eligibility and security are passed, criminality was passed mid may but they want to re-do my criminality before taking a decision.
Do you think this is a bad sign?
I am worried that this can take a long time still. Please advise as to why they would want to redo my criminality after passing it a week ago.

@legalfalcon:- I have read your thread about the Sec 15 & 16.....but couldn't make out anything....if you can brief me in some words ,,, below is the case:--

As i noticed on the page where the analyst makes the comment, on the right corner it is "s.16(1)(c) " only on 2 pages , where the analyst has written his comments over Review Required on eligibility but there is nothing specific on where the review is required and every thing written is MET by the analyst. But i noticed this "s.16(1)(c)"...... although in front of security it is written NOT STARTED, none of the page is blank in my notes,it's just only on those 2 pages where analyst views / recommendations are written..........is it anything to worry??? please help ......Thank you

As far as I know there is nothing as such mentioned that you require r10 as well for your BOWP. Though you need to have the AOR for the same so that your application can be processed for Canada PR Visa.

yes, I went through many posts,
some say you need a R10 to be approved.
some say you can submit the BOWP with an AOR but will only be processed by an officer when he verifies the R10.

my problem is it might take more than 2 months for R10 and by that time my work permit would expire.
So the only thing I can do is just 1 day before my work permit expires will just submit my BOWP application with AOR in case R10 still did not come.

Thanks @VisaExperts

@legalfalcon I had received a landing interview request for May 31 and today again I recieved another landing interview request for June 3rd at same Etobicoke location. I'm really confused which one should I attend and if I don't attend the another will it be considered as not attended and my PR applications will be cancelled? Kindly advise which date would I need to attend for landing interview?

No, as long as you send the correction, it will be fine.
Thank you so much for spending time replying me. May I ask another question, please? Thank you.

In my reference letter the employer refers to my annual salary as X. I attached an additional document which is a form of social insurance that employer paid for me, in which the base salary is broken down monthly. However, the sum of those is less than X (because X comprises of base salary, as well as other bonuses, welfare). Do you think I should raise one more CSE to explain for this, or will they understand? Thank you so much and hope you have a great day.

Hi LegalFalcon, I hope you are fine. I am expecting ITA soon and am in the process of preparing documents.

1) I received PCC from UAE. However, they have mentioned my father's full name alongside my full name. e.g. My full name is (My first name + My father's first name) but they wrote (My first name + My father's first name + My father's full name). They basically wrote the name in the format in which the visa has the name. Is this something I need to mention in LOE or worry about?

2) What would you say is the validity of an employment reference letter? I applied for AINP 2 months ago for which I prepared this letter. I would love it to use the same letter for IRCC as it's general in nature and meets the requirements. However, by the time I apply it will be 3 months old. Is that acceptable?

Thank you in advance for your advice.

1. There is nothing to worry about, but you can clarify this in the LoE.

2. It does not matter that the letter is 3 months old, what matters is that it covers all the requirements of IRCC, which are:

  • should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
  • should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits

Regards,
It does not matter what the salary is what matters is that your job was paid. So unless IRCC seeks clarification, there is no need.

Attend the one on May 31, and when you are there, inform them that you got another request for June 3 and they will take care of it.

As far as I know there is nothing as such mentioned that you require r10 as well for your BOWP. Though you need to have the AOR for the same so that your application can be processed for Canada PR Visa.
See
Eligibility parameters for bridging open work permits
To be eligible for a BOWP, foreign nationals must

  • be currently in Canada;
  • have valid status on a work permit that is due to expire within the next 4 months;
  • be the principal applicant on an APR under the FSWC, the CEC, the FSTC, the PNC (see note below), or 1 of the 2 caregiver classes;
  • have completed 1 of the following APR stages:
    • their electronic application for permanent residence (e-APR) submitted under Express Entry has passed the R10 completeness check; or
    • they have received a positive eligibility assessment on their paper APR submitted by mail under 1 of the economic classes above;
  • have applied for an open work permit;
  • have paid the work permit processing fee and the open work permit holder fee; and
  • have provided, as applicable, evidence (e.g., nomination certificate) that their provincial nomination is unrestricted.
The R10 is passed within the first 1-4 weeks. Instead of waiting for the last day, file your application in advance. @chirkut

Thanks in advance for clarifying the notes of "DOCUMENTS SET FOR REVIEW "
This note that you have posted here is only for R10. There will be another note for eligibility. That will be a note by an analyst, who makes a recommendation. Only after the recommendation is reviewed by an officer, and a final determination is made.
