I wanted a suggestion and had some confusion regarding getting a visitor visa for my parents. They are Pakistani national and residing in the Middle east from long time. They have only travelled to Saudi and Pakistan back and forth multiple times but not any other country. I became a permanent resident in 2016 but then I travelled back after having my PR Card.
In 2018 august , I made a final move to Canada , studied in university and now almost graduated and started working full-time. This time I have filed the taxes for the first time for year 2018.
Having said that, my parents wish to visit me in Canada, but before applying I am a bit worried as lot of Pakistani citizens get rejected for a visitor's visa. However, they would be applying from Middle east itself. My dad is a full-time employee and has been there for more than 20 years and he's on job. My mother is a housewife.
Firstly, please suggest me if first my mother should apply alone OR they should apply together ? Someone told me that , if both the parents apply together then the probability of rejection increases , please let me know if there is any truth in this , as per your experience.
Secondly, I am single and not married. Therefore, is it must for me to provide an invitation letter to them ? If so, then what should I mention ? Also, please do guide like what should be included in an application for the chances of acceptance to be increased.
Thirdly , when I applied for the PR application , my dad's surname was something else ... He added a new surname to his passport later on. In the record, CIC has my dad's old name ( which I provided while applying ; as by then his name was not changed ). However, now on his new passport his surname has been changed. Will that be an issue while applying for their visitor's visa ?
