Yes, I did today but I am sure they won’t take any action as usual.
I desperately want visa as its killing my professional life. I was supposed to apply for some exams in Canada, but this unexpected delay is constantly damaging my career.
No hope !!

If you are in Canada you could see an MP and they have to reply an MP enquiry within a week. BUt MP wont take any action if U R within 1 year time

- May 10th applicant
- HKVO PA Syrian passport
- Medical, elegibility and criminality passed
- Background started Jan 16 (well, that's when it said 'we are processing your background check').
- Pre-arrival Jan 23
- March 8th notes allude to security screening (5 activities redacted under 'activities' section in notes) s.15 (1) in top right corner of notes... Based on forum searching, I think that means ss is complete. Anyone have other experiences?

I believe you. I guess there is something unusual if interview was waived then it must be CRIM or SEC checks ,,, back ground checks

I imagine security checks. PA is from Syria, and notes indicated there were/are security checks happening (redacted info under 'activities') but crim check is passed. Fingers crossed they get the info they want in a reasonable amount of time.

My husband is syrian refugee in Germany pm got us notes saying security not initiated. Will i have to wait another year to be with him?
