Mississauga Citizenship Applicants

Are applications submitted from Oakville gonna be considered as Mississauga applications?

Pray that your application doesnt go to Mississauga.....any other office in canada would work on ur file and process within 12 months.....

Hi All
I am a silent member of this group and a Mississauga applicant. I appeared for test today, passed and got oath invitation for tomorrow after interview. Below is my timeline-

App received - 22 Feb 2018
In process - 02 May 2018
Test invite received - 18 April 2019
Test interview date - 02 May 2019 (Scarborough)
Oath date - 03 May 2019 (Scarborough)

****I have called CIC customer care several times over last few months. Did not get any response from them other than - "Your application looks good, no additional document/information is required .... ". When I called them 1st week of April they said my file is transferred to Scarborough from Mississauga.

Oath Invitation Received - ECAS and Snail Mail received 5.2.19 but both dated 4.30.19
And, I've been formally moved from Sauga to Scarborough. The oath ceremony is in Scarborough.
Wonderful! My my Sauga saga has ended! DM Oath invitation in 562 days and Oath in 577 days!

To those still waiting, I'm proof - there's hope. Citizenship will come. All the best to you.

Test 14 Feb 2017. (I was told per OUR calculation you have not met 1460 days. Either go to judge or withdraw and re apply under the new 3 year residency rules.


Applied second time again after many back and forth. Even after providing travel Itineraries)

Test request April 17th 2019
Test May 1st 2019
Oath May 2nd 2019
WITHIN ONE DAY OF TEST WE WERE CALLED TO TAKE THE OATH.

Yesterday we appeared for the test at Scarborough location. I (19/20) and my wife (17/20) both passed.
Question paper was little tricky but as long as you read whole question and options carefully you will be good.

I met few people there who applied last Oct/Nov 2018 and gave a test yesterday also they got an oath invitation for today.
Two couples I met and their files were transferred from Mississauga to Scarborough and they got test invitation after 14/15 months.

I believe Mississauga office started transferring delayed files to Scarborough and people start getting test invitations.

Now I am waiting for Oath invitation...

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on February 19, 2018.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on March 12, 2018.
3. We started processing your application on April 30, 2018.

The processing went to Mississauga-

I sent my file to IRCC in Dec 2017 and they received it in Jan 2018. Mississauga office...
In process from March 2019. Received test invites in April 2019 and they moved my file to Scarborough. Now I am waiting for Oath.
