Sorry to say but size of the family has to be applied on all previous years.

Hi. Isn't the rules have changed for 2019 and you have to be eligible for family sizes of each year. It's example 2 for reference when family size increased in last 3 years.

So, do they count the Total EI paid alone or taxes deducted as well?
If only Total EI paid, then I am still eligible.

If anyone is looking for EI deduction information on T4E, the Box 14-Total Benefits Paid is the gross amount (NOT net amount).

Hi Andy, thanks for replying and sorry about the font size, for some reason I viewed the post then when I actually posted it, I must've selected the font size to be small.
For my dad, we got the year so we just have to figure out the month.
For my mom, no luck at all, she can't remember and we have asked my aunts/uncles as well.
The only thing I can think of is put an unknown from and to dates, then I can provide a letter saying the school's office is closed and won't re-open in time for us to submit it with actual dates - but I can say it is to follow? or will they consider this as an incomplete application and risk being sent back to me?

As you mentioned they're from the philippines, classes always start in june and ends in march for secondary and college, isn't it?

Put family name as first name and write explanation letter.

I have done several immigration apps myself and I have always used just one explanation letter for entire app. Just bullet point it based on the form name. You should be good...

Dear all,

Happy to announce that our application package was sent by Xpresspost to CIC today.

· We had started gathering data for all forms and supporting materials as soon as the new forms were uploaded.

· I had a business trip back home in India in mid-April (prior to invite) and was able to get all wet signatures on all forms as well as all notarized supporting documents prior to the invite.

· Dates in all forms are filled by hand and are dt April 30th. Please note all forms can be validated / saved printed etc. without the dates.

· I received my invitation on April 24, 2019 15:37 EST

· We have a pretty straightforward case (I think) – I am sponsoring my parents, my spouse is NOT a co-signer, we have one child and the Principal Applicant is my Father and his spouse (my mum) is the dependant. My bother (+30 years) has his own family, is settled in Australia, and not considered a dependant. Income is thankfully well above the required limit for all 3 years. I provided SIN so didn’t fill 5748.

· No staples on any form/ supporting document. Wet signatures in Blue (no such requirement, but things stand-out)


We arranged the package as follows

· Fee Confirmation (paid biometric fee upfront)

· Form1344 (Wet signatures)

· IMM5768 with SIN. In item 14 Gross Income I provided both incomes Gross Income as well as NOA / Line 150. This was filled by hand. By definition, Gross Income is total income before benefits and not NOA / Line 150. I have a Professional Corporation so my Gross Income and line 150 is significantly different. Both numbers for each year are well above the requirement.

· Affidavit Confirming Marriage (Original Marriage certificate had a small typo in my Mom’s last name - one alphabet was “e” instead of “a”. We decided not to take any chances)

· 2 Passport Photos each for Principal Applicant / Dependant Spouse. Sizes etc as per Photo guidance, with name/address of Photo Studio in India stamped, Date Photo Taken + Name of Person & Date of Birth.

All documents were in English, but I got then notarized anyways. These are not required, but we included to provide proof of everything. I noticed that from previous years tracking / forum discussions sometimes the Case Officer asks for additional documents such as proof of travel / educational certificates / birth certificates / proof of income etc. which causes unnecessary delay. We decided to include them upfront.

· 2019- Till Date – Letter from CA/HR confirming income till date (April 30, 2019 which dorresponds to date of wet signatures on all forms)

1) Did you fill family information form (s) in both english and native language? So two form per parent? .. did you put all the information in native like name address dates etc?

2) financial eval form - employmnt history /gross incomr - did u put employmnt and self employed line seprtly for each yr e.g

IMM0008E - This is for Principal applicant and dependent family members. So, Sponsor will not be included.
This value is again asked in IMM5768E 3. A) Question Current Undertaking (Number of people entered in box #3 of IMM 0008).

If you include sponsor in IMM0008E box #3, it will not match with IMM5768E 3.A) and your family size changes in IMM5768E form.

At present, I am here in Canada on visitors visa. In the documents for PR, we need marriage certificate which is not possible here... Can any body suggest the alternate??
Should we approach Canadian authorities for affidavit?? If so, what are the requisite documents for affidavit..

Just Names, nothing else.
You can write them next to the english name.
You can press enter once after the english name, it will create some extra space.
Or you can attach additional sheet.
Its upto you.
If you handwrite, use black pen.

You don’t need it for now. They will require it later.
You (parents) need PCC from each country where parents lived for more than 6 months

1.do we have to get translation of birth certificate and other documents here in Canada or we can get translated document from back home? because it is written " Translations must be done by a member in good standing of a provincial or territorial organization of translators and interpreters in Canada who is fluent in both languages" in the guide
1. In the application to sponsor (form 1344), what would you answer for the first question..i mean would you check the box to withdraw your sponsorship application or proceed with application if you don't meet the sponsorship requirements
