Hi everyone,

I got my PPR mail on April 12th and i sent the passport for stamping on the same day, As per Fedex tracker package delivered on 15th and i don’t see any update in my online account till now . Can any one share their opinions about this please. Thank you.

You will not see any update on CIC portal until the final passport stamping is complete and ready to be mailed back. Usually 7-10 days after they receive it.

AOR received on 18th January , medicals passed on 4th March..
still waiting and i check my mails everyday.. but i didnt check my Spam folder until today and it says mails not checked in the Spam folder will be automatically deleted within 30 days..


But my CIC time line deadline says July 18th

Should i be worried?

Me too, tired of waiting, bro. But I still did not get BIL request. It is been 2 weeks already since MEP but still do not have BIL request. I called them and asked why I did not receive BIL yet, but they said nothing wrong with your application and that I just have to wait more.

I see you are from Kenya. Do you know if they transfer your case to local visa office (Nairobi Visa Office)? I think my application will end up there since I am from Somalia.

Hi my Somali brother (assuming you are a dude . If not, apologies!).

I hear that they only bring things to the local visa office if they need additional background and security done locally; and when they are about to send you the PPR email. Most people dont need a local check on security (or an interview) so for most people Nairobi LVO will only be involved when sending out the PPR email. This is, of course, crowd-sourced knowledge from this forum and may be incorrect

Do you know if they take biometrics in Mogadishu or will they ask you to come to Nairobi VFS?

Good luck though and lemme know when you get the BIL request.

My AOR is 14th January, 2019. Received my GCMS notes today with status as on March 22nd and Called IRCC on April 10th.
Eligibility: Not started
Security: Not started
Medicals: Passed
Criminality: Passed
CPC Ottawa
Info sharing: Complete (I see some info shared with AUS,NZL and USA)

Yes, I am from Somaliland and in fact live and work in Hargeisa. I did not think you would be familiar with Somaliland, although you are an East Africaner so in hindsight I made a poor assumption.

Unfortunately, Somalia nor Somaliland has a VFS office so I will have to travel outside. Nearest location is Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, so I will travel there with my wife once I get the BIL. For sure, I will update you.

There are very few applicants from this part of our world for this visa type, so it is very difficult to make patterns. Let's stick together.

Your assumption about East Africans is correct, the press in Kenya has barely featured the Somaliland story, its only curious fellows like myself who look beyond the mainstream to see whats really happening in the world .

And I’m 103 days from aor
I’ve made my heart strong to not to think about PPR till completion of 4 months (9may)
Then of course IL start hoping and praying

I just got off from phone talking to a CIC agent. He said my file is in Nova Scotia, eligibility and criminality in review, security not started.
Hows the processing speed for Nova scotia office ?

Can’t say .. there are even comments for all offices .. both slow and fast.
It’s getting unpredictable.. as u can see the speculations of IP1 and IP2 are also lessening down. Myimmitracker is showing higher waiting period days for PPR .

Now 4 months wait is almost average .. and 160-190 days is where for most PPR is happening..

Our own forum has negated the theory of US people getting PPR earlier !
