Guys,

I received PPR last week. My wife's medicals are expiring after three months in July. Does this mean that my COPR expiry date will be in July or is there a possibility that they might ask her for a new medical and give extension of a few months?

Also, is it possible if I can request them to extend my COPR expiry date and taking my wife's medicals again?

Any experiences?

Likely valid until July. IRCC generally doesn't grant extensions unless there are serious circumstances, i.e. medical reasons a person cannot travel.

It is most likely that you will have only a short time to complete the landing. You can't request an extension. If the visa office choose to do so, then they can either request that the medical examination validity be extended or retaken. This however is up to them.

Hi,
I got my medicals done on June 21, 2018. Before I received my PPR (on 30 April 2019), I noticed that my online status changed from 'You passed the medical exam' to 'You do not need medicals' and back again to 'You passed the medical exam', in a week's time.
I submitted my passport for visa stamping and my online status now reads that final decision has been made and my counterfoil expiry is on 24 April 2020 (passport not received in my hands as yet).
Am I correct in safely assuming that they extended my medicals and that it won't be an issue if I land after June 21, 2019 (1 year from the date of my medical exam)?
Thanks in advance for your response

Yes, they likely extended the medical.
