Hi, i have a issue that happening and hope you guys can hell me
i already applied for Pr and waiting for approval (since January 2019)
I filed tax for 2018 and accidentally, i made a mistake when i stated that i came to Canada since January 2018 (instead of coming since 2016)
As the ressult, CRA gave notification that they could not calculate my GST/HS5 credit bcoZ they don’t have my income other countries (actually i worked in Canada) and they ask me to refund all benefit amount that i get paid last 2 years which means i am owning CRA an amount of Benefit money
i already called and sent them email as well as some document to explain that i came to Canada 2016 (not 2018) and asked them to correct that i did not own them those money. CRA agent told me it should take around 10-11 weeks to solve
Now i concern that if this problem would affect my PR results? bcoz on my CrA account now i am owning $1,000 for gst/hst credit that i was paid over last 2 years
hope you guys can help me
Thank you

Hello, I doubt it will be an issue, but just to be safe, I would suggest that you create a webform and explain this situation to IRCC. Explain that there was an error with the date. Did you have document showing that CRA is resolving your issue? If not, try to write to them so you can get that document and upload it along with the webform. I am not an expert on this, but this is what I would do. All the best.

No effect. IRCC won't even see it, so don't bother telling them.

No, this is not a problem, at least where your PR application is concerned. No need to report it.
