You should call CIC and get them to check your OWP notes if you have the application number.anyone got owp recently? we are getting close to the 4 month (2 weeks left), but no news or movement
our ecas status is still the same. Application received for Sponsor and In progress for PA. No medical request and no update on GC key. Can anyone advise.
Many people say that there is no specific order for when medical gets done. CIC would have requested additional information if they wanted any. Medical could come at the end too. We should be getting background checks soon. So on ecas there was no medical request either? What is your receipt date?

Upon clicking the status comes like below:
for sponsorship-
- We received your application to sponsor XXXXXX on December 31, 2018.
- We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 13, 2019.
- We started processing your application on March 12, 2019.
1. We received (applicant name) application for permanent residence on December 31, 2018.
2. We started processing your application on March 30, 2019.
Someone from November received a letter that they didnt qualify but they called CIC and the agent said that should not have happened. They reopened the OWP file and approved it 1 week after 4 month period.
It's not unusual for OWP to be approved 4 months exactly to the day the app was received (real reception date, not the "early" one listed on GCKey). Mine was approved exactly 4 months after they had received it. Also, sometimes an OWP is approved even a week after the 4 month mark!anyone got owp recently? we are getting close to the 4 month (2 weeks left), but no news or movement
I called today! couldn't speak to an agent, but the automatic call system said that if application received after dec 9th, they haven't started processing :-? and the system said ours was received on the 13th! so will wait another couple of days. Hopefully some good news next week!
Yup! 111 days to process those applications. That dec 9th was updated March 31st. So technically they are on applications received around dec 17th.

What I dont get is why they dont update on GC key if they make progress on the app. Is it like 111 days and then bam its magically approved?

Lol, that's exactly what happens. An agent will pick up your app, check to make sure you're eligible, and then make a decision. This is why within (usually) a few hours a person's GCKey will go from checking eligibility to decision made.
Hang in there. Once an agent takes up the app, news comes fast.
