I'm curious about something, since I linked my application besides showing "In Process" on everything (ECAS and MyCIC as you can see below) my Background Check also say in progress and as far as I know this only happens later on doesnt it? Or maybe this is a normal thing and I'm not aware? I just wanted to know if anyone seen this before or something. I know that during this process we are left with a lot of guessing and this is probably one of those things but I'm just surprised by how fast our applications are moving and maybe that's also a sign of that? We obviously do not have SA yet.

Congrats! Kind of makes me worry, it’s almost as if they went from the 13th to the 19th... I haven’t heard anything yet (15th) and starting to become more anxious now... I see it’s just me and Carlos25 who are still waiting, the rest of the applicants whose application was received on the 15th have heard something by now, even people from the 19th. I also can’t find my application in CGKey if I look for it with my (passport) information.
I am so anxious too, I was expecting to hear something today as it’s been 48 days since they received it.
I really really hope they don’t return my app, I was so sure I included everything but now this wait is making me hesitate.
Hopefully we’ll hear good news soon

Quick question my OWP expiry date is not 2 years and roughly 1 year and 7 months that’s 5 months before my passport expires? How come such a random date?

I wish I could check my ECAS but only my consultant can. If there was only a way I could check the status of it using a UCI # in the CIC hotline.I
it should be approved in ECAS!
Ah well. If its approved, its approved and it will be sent my way none the less.

I hope so too! I had to include a few letters to replace the forms/explain some stuff, maybe that’s why it’s taking longer for me. Do you have any idea why it’s taking so long for you?
I don’t know, I do have red flags but I thought that wouldn’t matter at this very early point of the process, I’m gonna have to call tomorrow
