Hello All, My PR card is getting expired in a week's time and recently got AOR for my citizenship application. Is there a way to ask for urgent processing of my citizenship application rather than applying for PR card renewal?
if you donot have plans to travel out of Canada, you donot need to renew your PR card, but if I was you I would apply for renewal just incase something comes up and have to leave the country incase of any emergency.

I think it varies, but not once a month. Someone here in ON has been waiting almost a month for an oath date whereas a friend in BC just got an invite to an oath ceremony in 6 weeks... 1-2 months after getting DM.

The 2018 spreadsheet might give some ideas?
Thanks.

Meanwhile... still waiting for AOR, 65 days and counting since they received the application. No returned application so stay positive

Please add me in spreadsheet

It happens man, mine was delivered on Jan 4th and they only sent AOR two weeks ago.

Stay strong, the letter is near...

Now entering 22 days since AoR (March 13th) and no update to in progress. Many others in the same boat too I see, getting a little antsy as CIC doesn't seem to operate a FIFO process - not that this is exactly a revelation!

Friends - Question - Please help.

My wife's name on the transcript will be before marriage name.

After marriage her Passport , PR card and everything here is on new name.

That is fine. Anyways, in the application form, there's a question "Have you ever used any other name?" and you would filling her maiden name as well which is in her transcripts (I assume that's for proving English qualification). So, if you want, you shall write up a cover letter and place it before the transcripts. But that's not actually needed though.
