PPPPPPPPPPPPPP PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Got the "Golden Email" this morning at 8:03 AM EST.

The request is to send passports to Ottawa along with a filled out Annex A, which is nothing but a barcoded document asking for current address and phone number.

There was no 2nd Ghost Update on the account until Friday, and i did not check after that over the weekend.

I am in a bit of a fix though, i need to travel out of the US (back to India - Visa getting expired) on April 13th. I am not sure how long it takes for the CoPR to arrive back to the US.

Any ideas on how long it would take if i overnight my documents today to the Ottawa, as the email has no mention of a turnaround time for CoPR requests.

I always have the option to email them and say that i will be submitting the documents in India, but i want to get it done while i am here - dont want any more waiting. But i need to have the passports back before April 13th. Any Thoughts ??
Congratulations. Regarding receiving COPR ,there is no set timelines but on average it takes 12-14 days to receive the passports if you are in US provided all is going as per the plan. In my case I had issues with photos and courier return label, which extended the wait to almost 28-30 days. With your timelines ,I will suggest to have visa office changed to India .
Please do your analysis so that you don't get into stress of not receiving the passports before your departure date.

I woke up to the golden email, as predicted. Delivered at 8:03 AM Ottawa time.

Thanks for the moral support, everyone.

PPR arrived before my expected GCMS notes.

Congratulations!!!

Please I have a question.... I am also a US citizen, my
AOR is January 30, 2019.
MEP March 14th

But no BIL till date, I am currently in Canada and I just extended my visitor status till September 2019. Can this be the reason why I haven’t received BIL yet?

Congrats!!! Exact same delivery time as me. They must send them in huge batches.

I don't think you can rely on getting them back in time even if you overnight, based on the PPR tracker on MyImmiTracker. I've been looking at it. If you need your passport that soon, you're going to need to raise a CSE and have them switch you to Delhi or something.

Edit: Look at step 4 in the PPR email:

If you do not have a mailing address in Canada or the U.S.A, or if you are unable to submit the required documentation for you or your accompanying family members to the addresses below, please send an email to us at XXXXX-removed-but-your-email-has-it@cic.gc.ca so that we can send you instructions for submitting your documents to a visa office which is the most convenient for you. Please note that our office will not return passports to an address outside North America.
Thanks buddy !

I sent an email to them explaining my situation. Waiting for a reply.
I did get an automated reply from them as an acknowledgement.

The reply starts with below line :

This is an automatic response to acknowledge the receipt of your email. Please DO NOT send a reply to this email.

Due to a high volume of inquiries, our timeframe for email responses is within 10 business days.

Waiting for a reply from them on my specific question now, but most likely they will suggest the same - to send the passports after landing in India. They will move my case to India i hope. Lets see.

P.S : You are doing an amazing job helping people out here with your research and insight. Much appreciated !!
