Hi @legalfalcon , is it necessary to raise a CSE because I uploaded the black/white version of my degrees when I submitted my PR application? I panicked when I saw on a threat that it should be a color version and I raised a CSE with the color version of my degrees on March 11 but I did not receive a response from them. Should I raise a CSE again ? I read somewhere that I should have received a response after 3 to 5 business days.Thank you again for your help.

Hi guys and @legalfalcon i have review required on proof of funds. Above are my gcms notes screenshots, my aor is oct 31 and Gcms notes were generated on mar 5, 2019. Should i upload bank statement again or wait for ircc response. Please advise me 41 days left for 6 months.
Most POFs will have RR because they may be in a different currency to the case analyst will mark them for review. Also, if you have documents that may be complicated, a RR will be there. As long a you meet the requirement, no need to worry. After the officer reviews the file and the documents, your eligibility will be set to passed.

If you have already raised a CSE and submitted the documents, they will be added to your file and reviewed. It can take 1-4 weeks before they are added to the file. Since you have sent them, no need to worry.

Hi @legalfalcon !
I hope all is well. Thank you for all the valuable contribution you have put into this community. I recently got my latest GCMS record for my permanent residency application under the protected person category.
Under Security there was one subcategory named "security screening" and the result for that one was "favourable".
Under Criminality there was also only one subcategory and the result for the one was "no reportable trace".
And the last note mentioned that the officer was waiting for security screening results (the "favourable" result was updated after the last notes was posted)
Would you think this means that my background check is now completed?
Thanks in advance!
As per what you say it seems it is. However, if the officer is still waiting for the report, then after the report is provided, it will be added to your file, and then your file will be reviewed, which is a final review before a decision is made.

As per what I read, everything looks good and it is just a matter of time.

@legalfalcon Hi there! One of my friends received a nomination through the MPNP program and got a closed work permit out of it (LMIA exempt - T13). He chose to not through the PNP-PR route and decided to apply for EE instead.
He claimed 50 points for the LMIA exempt closed work permit but did not use the 600 points he received from the PNP program. Would this be a valid work permit doc for applying through EE, since he did not claim points for the nomination anyway? Would this effect his EE application in anyway?
Thanks a lot!

@legalfalcon
Hi again!
So something a bit weird happened. In January of this year, I raised a CSE for an update on my application (AOR June 2017). I knew csis were done with my file by then and had sent back their recommendation to cbsa. I received a reply on my email the next day from LVO that my application is still undergoing background checks. So I assumed CBSA hadn’t yet sent it back to CIC. Since then, I haven’t raised any CSEs or status inquiries.
But oddly enough, I receive a message today on my cic portal, and it says that its a reply to my inquiry, and that my application is currently under review.

Why would they send me an update I didn’t request? And since they didn’t mention background checks, is it safe to assume that part is finally over?

If you meet the PoF requirements and are not falling short due to FOREX, you can just wait and request a new GCMS notes and see if your eligibility has passed.

Each province has its own criteria. You will have to check their websites and see if your meet. the criteria.
