Just a quick info update ....for comparative purposes, if anyone is interested.
I, the sponsor, received the AOR2 email this morning from Rabat Immigration. My husband hasn’t gotten a single email except the one about that useless status bar lol. The ecas update was yesterday, processing began on Monday. :)

There’s 18 of us in total for November on the tracker (CPC-M transfers), four have PPR, 10 have additional document requests (so they’re working on their applications), one I can’t get hold of as they don’t have their username here and then there’s 3 of us who are from visa exempt countries with little contact since the transfer - I’m the only one without line 2 though.

I called before and they said that my background check is completed but my elgibility hasn’t started yet... just got to wait I suppose eh!
Can you send the link to Nov tracker JoshC?

Hi guys, I finally received the AOR from CIC, Woohoo!!

Some recap of my application:
Sent document package thru Fedex from Hong Kong: 11/2018
Packaged received in Nova Scotia: 3/12/2018
First received feedback: 20/3/2019

However, in their reply, they said that there is one document that's missing.
so after I finish that document, do I mail the whole package again to them,
or I just mail back the :
- Cover page??
- that missing document
- the email they sent me

Thanks!

My husband (sponsor) received the E-Mail on January 28th which stated that our Application has been transferred to Vienna.
I don't exactly know what is being meant with AOR but he received his Sponsor Approval on January 22.

This is my timeline on ecas (PA side)

  1. We received your application for permanent residence on November 9, 2018.
  2. We started processing your application on February 1, 2019.
  3. We sent you correspondence on January 19, 2019. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
  4. We sent you medical instructions on January 22, 2019. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
  5. Medical results have been received.
  6. We sent you a letter on February 11, 2019. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us (Biometrics)
Vienna VO seems to be a very very slow office from what I've read in other threads. Still hoping for a fast process.
I guess our applications were in the same batch that was transferred Jan 28th. Our timeline is pretty much the same except for the fact that our app was received in Sydney 2 months earlier. (Sept. 13). I would say that is a pretty good timeline for you and you are very likely to get your PPR from Vienna before we do. Good luck! :)

Any US applicants get asked for Additional Docs and have their AOR2 or Pre-Arrival Services letter yet? (not sure if its the same thing)

AOR2 is the acknowledgement of receipt by the Visa office. It also shows as line 2 on your PA's ECAS stating 'we started processing your application on xxxx' .

Pre-arrival is sent when they complete the eligibility check on the PA. Did your GCKEY update that they received your additional docs?

Excellent! Thanks so much for posting! Your AOR2 is February 1, which tracks with what I've seen from other recent Vienna applicants. I will be interested to hear if you get a pre-arrival services email soon as well....

Yes, Vienna is slow compared to some, but from what I can tell it's still a lot faster than many other VOs (London, New Delhi, Mexico City, etc). If you look over the (few) timelines that you can see on the Vienna office thread here, it's actually pretty positive overall. And I still tend to think that those of us from visa-exempt countries (Germany, Netherlands, Austria, etc) are probably going to have an easier time going through there than the non-visa-exempt ones, and it seems like most of the people going through Vienna are in fact from non-visa-exempt countries (mostly Balkans applicants, plus a fair number of people who are residents of Germany, but are not citizens, some even refugees), so the tracker timelines might not be easy to compare from application to application.

I will keep my fingers crossed (or let's say my thumbs pressed ;)) for a speedy process for us both! Thanks again and keep us updated on your progress! :)

Well, thats so good to hear!! Your words gave me some kind of hope lol. Patiently waiting for the next step. I feel like I'm just stuck at the moment, can't plan ahead because you never know when you will receive the next further instructions. My application should actually be a 'very simple one'. Born and lived all my life in Germany, got married in Canada and planning to continue my studies there. So I'm just hoping to get my PR till July (max.) to be able to start University in September there.
