I’m unemployed should I give my Option C

I’m currently unemployed. And I will sponsor my wife.

My question is about on checklist should I give my Option c even I select the choices 2

Employment/Source of incom

There’s a 2 choices:

1. If you are working in canada ( provide letter from current employer. And proof of income OPTION C

2. If you are not working in canada. ( provide documentation that you can support your self)

I chose number 2 because I’m unemployed. Should I still give my option c??

Yeah just provide a letter of explanation on how you can support yourself and your wife

Planning a wedding and working on an immigration app are not reasons to be unemployed.

You need to show IRCC that you can support yourselves without welfare.
With both of you unemployed, barely any savings and living with your sister, it is highly unlikely that IRCC will believe that you will be able support yourselves. I'd say you have a high chance of being requested for more documents or even being issued a Procedural Fairness letter.

Have either of you worked recently? Are either of you even looking for work?

Yeah we worked recently. She still looking for a job in the philippines. And I am currently looking for a job here in canada.

You may also need to specify on your letter of explanation that the help of your sister is just for the meantime so while your application is in process. Hopefully you can find a job as soon as possible.

Yeah attach your sister’s personal statement. I just want to clarify when did you stop working? The reason why I’m asking is because if you worked last year for example, you can attach the latest tax return from CRA plus your explanation letter. Good luck

Yeah that’s okay just add and point out that “for the meantime, I presently lived with my sister while searching for a job.” Then attach your sister’s personal statement and bank account plus your own savings account. Make sure to find a job ASAP and update IRCC.

I suggest you include significantly more detail than that. Explain specifically about your job search, what you are looking for, how you are looking, what efforts you have made so far, how much you expect to make. Include the same information for your spouse. Also include what she plans to do after she comes to Canada. Are you planning to move out on your own before your wife gets here or will you both be staying with your sister? Does her letter state? You need to fully explain your plan on how you will support yourself and your spouse.
