Neither visa stamped on passport nor refusal letter in envelope

Mean

My friend got his passport dispatched message and when he opened envelop there was no visa stamped and no refusal letter.

But he got just a small piece of paper stuck in passport stating that all the information has been sent by email.
But he has got no email yet

Did you submit your passport after getting passport request or did you submitted with paper based application.

What is Gcms notes??

CIC uses GCMS system to track and process application. Its like a database. For each application, they track and write notes in that system. For study permit, if you need to know the detailed reason for rejection then you should order those GCMS report. You can only order it if you are in Canada or have somebody who lives in Canada and can order it for you. You can order it through caipsgcms.com

Hello guys, I applied for my wife’s spousal open work permit on augest 22, 2018 , it was paper application, I linked that application online, I received her passport on Friday dec 14 without any stamp or rejection letter on that and there was a note that information is sent by email but still I haven’t received any email, when i login to her cic account, the status still shows WE ARE PROCESSING YOUR APPLICATION, WE WILL NOTIFY YOU ONCE A FINAL DECISION HAS BEEN MADE, I called vfs and they said the decision has been made, can you guys help me with this problem, thanks a lot in advance

SInce, you already got the passport so it means that the decision has been made and it was refused. No stamp means rejection. Rejection letter will be required but wait for few days to see if they send you the rejection letter via email. But dont rely on it, there are many who havent received the letter even after 6 months.

Hello everyone stuck at same situation i applied on 1st august 2018 offline application they don’t reject my application but inspite of that they gave me letter that stated change your intake letter at 17 nov they take so long for making decision but yet not decided to give visa or not now i have to reapply again for just intake change pay 150$ and have to wait again how pathetic they are !!!

thats weird because if they have already returned the passport then they should update the status.

Please I am currently facing same issue now. Got a passport, no stamp except a small piece of paper saying important information has been sent to the email I provided for my application. I did not receive any email inbox or spam.

did you apply online or on paper...because usually if u applied on paper and it's a rejection all your documents that you submitted are returned back to you regardless...i am also in the same shoes as you.i received my passport back (written on Returned passport only) without a decision nor a rejection or even a note ...but on tracking my application online and vsf they say ´´your application is in progress or we are processing background check ´ since 15th jan 2019 .the only thing that has changed is from vsf website which was saying ;´´your passport¨ïs being processed to ¨Your application¨ is being processed¨ after getting my passport back....leaves me really confused
