Well, there are several better evaluation agencies other than WES. If you guys will check its rating, you all will be surprised regardless of its popularity. It has been given almost 2.9 rating out of the 5. You can check it here:
https://www.consumeraffairs.com/education/world_education_services.html

Instead of opting for the other firms, people end up selecting WES only. The reason is they are unfamiliar with the services of other ECA organisations. So, preference should be given only after the detailed investigation.

Honestly, I am not at all surprised. Since last year I have been repeatedly saying WES is the worst educational assessment service. They seriously lack knowledge when it comes to South Asian universities, especially Indian and Pakistani universities. You could also include UK credentials to an extent.

IQAS is dozen times better. Their template on their website is usually spot on!! Only con is that their evaluation is painstakingly long but you are guaranteed to get a positive evaluation.

My 1 year UK certificate was given one semester credential by WES, I later had to get my university involved after a lot of persistence they changed their evaluation to 1 year.

On the other hand, IQAS gave the exact same UK PG Certificate 1 year equivalency without any fuss and I'm sure even ICES would have given the same equivalency

I read in one of the forums that the top 5 educational assessment for Canada, IQAS is ranked number 1 followed by ICES and WES is at the bottom.

I strongly advise everyone to go for IQAS and if money is not an issue then pick WES and IQAS(back up). Suppose by a miracle WES gives you correct equivalency you can enter into pool immediately if not no harm done, IQAS will probably get it right.

Hi Everyone! I am new to this group. My score is 444 and I have maxed out IELTS (L9 R8.5 W7.5 S7.5). Do you think I stand a chance? I've noticed that @abhishek_89 has pretty much accurately predicted the scores in the last few months. Can you please advise? Thanks
As they have reduced the number of ITAs, CRS 444 is no longer a safe score. With bi-weekly draws and 3350 ITAs, it is tough for the CRS to decrease to 444 OR could drag down to 444 slowly taking some months to reach there.

But if there are 1 week gap draws OR CIC goes back to inviting 3900 ITAs bi-weekly, then you have a good chance.

Hi abhishek. My 3 years' work experience gets completed on 24 april 2019. I created EE profile on 26 feb 2019 with 453 crs. However, i received ITA in mar 6 draw bcz my crs went up to 478. I think 25 extra points for 3 years work experience got added to my crs score of 453 on mar 1 since ircc does month wise calculation. I am now confused. Technically i am still 2 months short of 3 years' work experience so ideally i should reject this ITA. What do you suggest? Also, this technical issue will happen in all draws till april 24 when i actually complete 3 years. What should i do? Should i write to ircc to let them know about this problem?
This is how the system works and it is not your fault, so you could go ahead and submit your application. Just to play safe, you could just wait and submit your application on Apr 25th. No need to decline ITA for this reason.

Hi @abhishek_89,

Is there any hope for us crs@438, even on oinp? Really loosing hope for Canada. We lost it in tie braking in Feb. My husband is the primary applicant, we both attempting ielts again next month. Thanks in advance.
Direct ITA looks far fetched now as they have reduced the number of invites from 3900 to 3350. Would need multiple 1 week gap draws for the cut off to fall to CRS 438.
Regarding OINP, they would be inviting more applicants under HCP but their cut off would mostly depend on the current CRS cut off. So, if the cut off is around 450 mark, then they might invite folks in the 440s. So, you cannot tell what will happen but OINP is your best bet right now.

Good that you are trying to max out your CRS which is the only thing in your hand!

Do you guys observe a pattern here?

2 weeks - 1 week - 3 weeks - 2 weeks - 1 week - 3 weeks - 2 weeks - __ week

There is a high probability of a draw next week if this trend continues.

What do you think?
Interesting observation!

If that happens (Mar 13 - 3350 ITAs), cut off would be around 446.

I'm loving the looks of that! :cool:Awesome observation! Look at you being a ray of hope for us 440s! :DI wonder how far back that pattern goes...:)
That pattern wouldn't go back though as the 1 week gap draw in Dec 2018 happened after at least a year of no 1 week gap draws (considering only non program specific draws).

I feel there will be a draw next week looking at this trend.
What are your thoughts on this @abhishek_89?
I still feel the next draw would be on Mar 20th. Mostly, the 1 week gap draw would be in May (5 Wednesdays) unless OINP has a HCP draw and CIC again tries to steal those applicants back!
