I was not able to submit any document because i never received any email from CIC requesting any document. I got to know about it after I got my first GCMS report. Since them I am sending Case Specific inquiry frequently to CIC asking them to resend me that mail.I submitted through email for additional docs months ago, and they still say "we need additional docs...". I wouldn't worry about it.
I would verify your emails addresses with them, in case they are sending to the wrong address.I was not able to submit any document because i never received any email from CIC requesting any document. I have received all the communications from CIC except the document request. Even the same mail ID is mentioned in the GCMS notesI would verify your emails addresses with them, in case they are sending to the wrong address.
That is indeed strange.I have received all the communications from CIC except the document request. Even the same mail ID is mentioned in the GCMS notes
Your timelines are very similar to mine, you should see some action on your application soonApp received 20th aug 18
AOR1 26 oct
SA 29 oct
Medical request 30 oct
Transferred to Mississauga 5 nov
Medical passed 12 nov
Transferred to NDVO 12 dec
Started processing on ECAS 17dec
No updates , no background check started after this
Got a reply to my enquirer email from ndvo few days back, pending officers review.
Now, my assumption is that initially they overlooked the documents and updated the file that Birth Certificate is required & requested. Later when they started processing my file, they did all the actions and might have realized that the support documents for Birth certificate is already submitted along with the application. This is why i received Medical request, final transferred to Mississauga and then to NDVO and now this Pre-Arrival message. Just a guessThat is indeed strange
Thank you for giving me hope sirYour timelines are very similar to mine, you should see some action on your application soon
Is there a way other than the GCMS notes to contact them and know what’s going on with my case? I have already tried sending an e-mail to ndvo immigration sectionYour timelines are very similar to mine, you should see some action on your application soon
I am not sure if there is any other way, you have to apply either for GCMS notes , wait for the response from NDVO or check your application status on GCkey. The above statement is as per my understanding. Is there a way other than the GCMS notes to contact them and know what’s going on with my case? Quite possible. It seems they are pretty lax about details in India. My whole application was delayed by a month because i was waiting for an updated adhaar card from my wife. We wanted the adhaar card to say "W/O my name" instead of "D/O father's name". A week later they sent us a new one without any changes. My wife gave them the receipt and said where are the changes? They said, ok we'll give you a new one. So a month goes by and no updates. My wife called them and they said "oh, it took too long to process so it was declined. You will have to reapply..." We were like, wtf?! So i went ahead and submitted the application with the old card details. They wasted a month of my time. I could have been a May applicant if not for those morons. Now, my assumption is that initially they overlooked the documents and updated the file that Birth Certificate is required & requested. Oh, its actually difficult to get these updates done on government documents quickly, although for me it was smooth and i got things updated within one week and got a copy of new adhaar. I would say to everyone that while you are attaching the marriage certificate, husband name on aadhaar card is not going to make an impact. Shouldn't wait for it. Rather have the name added in Passport, which i believe is more recognized at most of the placesQuite possible. It seems they are pretty lax about details in India. Yeah I know that now. But we just wanted to make sure that every document was consistent. We didn't want to leave anything to question.Oh, its actually difficult to get these updates done on government documents quickly, although for me it was smooth and i got things updated within one week and got a copy of new adhaar.
