System is slow but we are still within 1 year timeline
Mine was transferred to new delhi and i am august applicant ..background check not started yet
I know I'm still within the timeline but it's frustrating to see people applied after me already landed in Canada, our file is definitely one of the simplest one and the bgc hasn't even started is making me worried if they'll be able to complete within 12 months, this distance and wait is affecting the relationship as well :(

Hello, I'm from July thread, I understand your concern, our application was received on July 26th, 2018 and we got decision made on ECAS last week, but I have not received any email regarding the Sponsor Approval. Tomorrow it's going to be 7 months and we still have to go through Quebec AND the local visa office, I seriously don't understand why is this so complicated ?

I feel the same way in finding hard to believe that in 5 months they are just going to do everything, this process should include some psychological help from the government because they don't even care what they put the literally thousands of couples through...

Let's hope this week something moves

I am also from the July thread - and we JUST got the medical request for my husband a couple weeks ago - took 6 months just to get that

Trust me, I know the feeling of frustration when you see other people getting approved, while your own file is going slower :(

I received a call from NVDO India. They asked how i met my husband, where we got married she asked a couple of more questions. We got married in St Lucia they asked if we arranged a reception in India as mentioned in application. We cancelled a reception and planned Europe and Egypt trip instead. I told her truth. She asked me if I have the picture of family gathering and Europe trip pictures. She gave an email id where to forward the documents to. I am confused if that was an interview or a normal call to get more details. Has anyone received a call like this before?

My timeline is as follows:
File recvd: 16-08-2018
AOR1: 26-10-2018
SA:28-10-2018
Med Passed: 15-11-2018
BGC in process 14-01-2019
AOR2: 30-01-2019

We are in the same waiting boat. Applied in start june. Got SA, medical, AOR2, BGC all in about 5 months. We applied for tourist visa and got it. I (the sponsor ) moved to Canada and got a place and a job, and my wife (the applicant) came with me. We are together but the wait is still difficult.

In December we got a request letter for "more proof regarding intent to return to Canada". Funny enough the message came via the TRV application on the gckey. We submitted the documents fight away to the NDVO email address provided. Once the deadline for that passed, we got the same letter through the PR application. Resubmitted the same documents. Still waiting to hear back from them.

We are worried that we updated our contact info via the web form but it's not reflection on the ECAS or GCKey. Hopefully they aren't trying to call us !

I strongly recommend you call their customer service number and email NDVO directly. If you do both, one of them will update your application
