added the note. does it came in canada post or email? I am also from brampton. but nothing yet for me

Did you send the result to vancouver? RCMP sent mine directly to vancouver... still waiting for the exam date...

I had to send it and not RCMP

Did u do fingerprints before u l3ft or did it somehow while being away?

No I did it from the same country I am staying. It's a complicated process, first you have to take ink fingerprints on a RCMP form c-216c, then send those to an accredited company in Canada, which will digitialize the ink fingerprints and send them to RCMP. I guess everybody knows after that. I have authorized RCMP to send 1 copy to IRCC Vacnouver and 1 to my address in Surrey.

IF you check the third page in the email you will see what it means. I am just guessing, but if your date of birth matches to a criminal in RCMP database then they ask for it. Quite stupid really, if the criminal wasn't a citizen at the time his fingerprints were taken, only then they should ask for it.

Anyway, there shouldn't be a problem, if you haven't committed a crime in Canada then your fingerprints won't match in the database and you should get a clean record letter in the next 2 days.

Does anyone know the timeline for Edmonton? Does the length of your wait depend on your city of residence? Or country of origin?
I sent my application September 19th 2018
It was received 1 October 2018

It says they started processing my application 8Th January 2019
I haven’t heard anything since then. Should I be worried? Should I be checking my email for the next notification? Or my mail??
