2018 Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications: timeline and updates

My got a weird update on my ECAS today.
We got the AIP on my GCKey account on Feb 5, and at Feb 6th, I got DM on both side on ECAS, since then nothing happened, now they just updated this on my Ecas, saying send me a letter... really weird....


We received your application for permanent residence on April 24, 2018.
We started processing your application on December 19, 2018.
Medical results have been received.
We sent you a letter on February 5, 2019. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Applied for Inland Spousal Sponsorship for PR & OWP
April 22 2018 - Application sent.(Police check certificated and Schedule A submitted upfront)
April 24 2018 - Application delivered to Processing Centre.
May 25 2018 - AOR received, application linked
May 30 2018 - OWP application linked to online account
July 31 2018 - OWP approved
Aug 8 2018 - OWP received in the mail
Aug 20 2018 - Medical passed
We started processing ur app Dec 19 2018
Jan 25 2019- Background check changed to processing
Feb 5 2019- AIP & SA
Feb 6 2019- DM on both side.

We were together about 2 years, no kids.

My file was send to local office Mississuaga for further processing and now they request additional documents from Vancouver hub?
I called them and they told me my file is in Vancouver now

I called them and they told me my file is in Vancouver now
What could be the reason?

That means when you submitted your file, the evidence wasn't good enough. So follow what they request,and be prepared well this time

They request only proof if income whovh i have submitted but they moved my file from Mississuaga which is my local office to Vancouver i dont get this part

I applied restoration July 2018 but they refused it due to my passport was expired that time.

August 2 2018 they received my app
October 30 request medical
November 6 medical passed
Feb 21 start processing my application...

They request only proof if income whovh i have submitted but they moved my file from Mississuaga which is my local office to Vancouver i dont get this part

First at all, it doesn't matter which office is processing your case, Mississuga or Vancouver. Right now it seemed mostly cases were processing in Vancouver.

Secondly, when they asked you to proof your income, which means what you gave them wasn't enough. If I were you, I will give them 2017,2018 both years Notice of Assessment from CRA, 6 months bank statement, both savings info, or if the PA has a job now, provide the job info and pay slips... etc...

Right now, the CIC is working on the case from Feb 28, 2018.

Did you get the info, Feb 21 start processing my application. from your ECAS, if so it is pretty good, because mine took about 8 months to get there.

First at all, it doesn't matter which office is processing your case, Mississuga or Vancouver. Right now it seemed mostly cases were processing in Vancouver.
