Also, Philippines.

Canada and Australia's current immigration system is doing very well. As long as you are educated, have the qualified work experience and can speak the Country's official language you are welcome. Unlike the US, this is not a lottery system and is pretty straight forward,

The Expres Entry is only for skilled workers regardless of any country. Immigration through CRS cut-off is one of the many direct evidences.

The candidates invited to apply under express entry stream are the most deserving candidates in the pool regardless of any bias. If the people of Indian origin are getting accepted in the pool are higher than other nationalities, it means they are scoring more points according to the criteria set out by the IRCC.

In my opinion, this seems like a good idea if it's done in moderate amount. I have nothing against any nationality, so I would say it would be nice to control the overflow of immigrants just from one country. I think it would create another China, or another India or Philippines with all the baggage that comes with. Smaller number of people from different countries would force everyone to assimilate, rather than have a joint force to impose their own rules. I just want to say it would hinder bad connections being formed resulting in less corruption.

Does it make sense? Sorry if it's offensive.

Tbh, I don’t agree with your post. Immigration is not as easy like it was a decade or two ago. Everyone have to meet certain criteria before getting successfully immigrated to Canada. IRCC is pretty strict about it.

If we follow your idea, Canada will lose a bigger chunk of skilled immigrants that come from these nations and won’t be economically competitive as it is now.

PS - Everyone has the right to express their view. I don’t think you should be concerned about getting yourself banned on this form.

You make perfect sense. They will do just that in my opinion. While I don't believe they will restrict anyone based on nationality, I believe they will make it easier for less represented nationalities to immigrate to Canada.

I don't think so. While it would be nice to see, I don't think Canadian immigration has ever been about the diversity.

It does, but I don't think it matters as of now, EE system is totally based on your skill level, irrespective of your nationality. May be in future they do something like this to promote diversity.
By the way, what is average duration from AOR to PPR for Indian citizens? Why are you still with us, waiting for the golden email @SithLord? Is your travel history too long or what?

I did once but somehow managed to get a 6.5 instead, haha. (I blanked on the essay topic, couldn't find relevant ideas, etc). Even though IELTS is unbearably nerve-wrecking for me, I plan on giving it another try in March.

Yes, still waiting for golden mail. I only have 1 travel history. I lived in UK for 4 years when I was a student.

The trend now for FSW-O Indian single applicants is 5 months. When I called IRCC last week, the agent said my application has been untouched since it was transferred to CPC-Ottawa and estimated completion time is June 11, 2019
