I can't say what the doctor may or may not accept or reject, but here's what happened to me: I have a serious chronic condition and a few less serious conditions. Because of some of these I had to have some extra blood tests (did my exam 1/22/19)--which increased the cost unexpectedly.

The doctor told me (actually came to find me in the blood lab on the other side of the building) that because of my health issues I would be graded "B". From what he told me you are graded "A" if you have no notable health conditions and graded "B" if you have health conditions. But that as long as these aren't communicable diseases or something that it was not a concern because my request form says "EDE" (Excessive Demand Exempt, as someone else has address above). The doctor said he does the same exam and same additional tests (if needed) for any immigration medical exam, even if you are "EDE".

So, it took 2 weeks to get medical passed, but that finally showed up in my account yesterday (2/5/19). Nothing really new with this story, but I was worried and didn't need to, so maybe hearing my experience will help you worry less (or at least worry less about passing, although extra cost on the medical could be an issue)
Dear Brooks202,

Thank you very much for sharing your experience. It definitely comforting to read your msg. I have booked my Medical Exam for Thursday, 14 Feb 2019. Hoping for the best. Will keep you posted on the final outcome of my Medical Examination.

Thanks again. God Bless you.

Thank you Ra3 for taking out time to revert to me. God Bless you !

Hi everyone- are the doctors able to let us know whether they detected any admissible health issues eg an iron deficiency? Or will we only be told if we pass/fail by CIC?

Doctor only gave lab report for IMMIGRATION which include Hepatitis, HIV, Malaria and tuberculosis. They Don't check any other condition mainly in Lab work.

Got my restoration of status certificate on the mail today...it's quite sad that I'm really excited by it, the paper is all imbossed and offical

For those having waiting on MR in central Alberta, I booked mine in Red Deer for next week and it's $400 in total

Hey guys,
since tax season is coming up im eager to learn more about the situation. I have always filed single but last July my partner and I had become common-law (he is a US citizen).
He cannot work as of yet as he has yet to receive his OWP. Meaning he also has no SIN.
How do you go about filing for common-law when you cannot enter a SIN #, he of course has no income as he cannot work here in Canada.
Does this affect my tax return at all? how much i receive back?
I prefer to file online as its faster to receive back
Would love some input on this from someone who has an idea of what to do.
Thank you

I believe you’re classed as single as you’ve not lived with each other for the necessary year to become common law.
