Hello everyone!!! I submitted my paper application to cic last week and received yesterday. I also included an OWP Application as my status will expire February 11, 2019. If there is anybody with the same timeline as mine then let us gather here for updates. We will help each other with the information for our application to be successful. Thank you

I thought once you submitted an application for a permit before it expires you are automatically on a implied status at least that is what I have experienced with my work permit but mine is linked to one specific employer until you get your results.

For an inland app with OWP - You are on implied status unless the OWP application is returned, in that case you will be out of status.

Thanks for your response. So is it advisable for me to apply online tourist visa application now while waiting for for OWP and spousal coz if by any cases where my OWP will be returned?

KC if I get to apply for a tourist visa would I be able to go home and re-enter Canada around November this year?

They are processing AORs for dec as many have started getting MR(Medical request) too...
Maybe by last week of feb, Jan applicants would start getting some response.
