Any news?
Hi, nothing. Not even the notes. It’s very difficult. Thanks for asking. I wish they didn’t send the pre-arrival so early. It makes it that every day, could be “the day”. And then it’s not. :(

Last week I wrote Mexico VO an email directly asking them what is going on with our application, since we received Pre-arrival at the beginning of December with no updates since. They just responded back saying “your application is in the final stage and in queue for the final step” And that they will contact us if they need any documents....there is still no timeline and everyday could be “the day” but I think their email was positive.

Just received the notes from the file too. They are dated the 17th December 2018 (I requested them the 24th November).
Everything (eligibility, criminalily etc) in them says passed and next step-PR. The officers notes say only positive things about our relationship and application complete and passed. So, we r literally just waiting for the email requesting PA to send his passport to Mexico. Online, everything still looks the same. No updates.

Hey everyone!

After a long wait we finally received COPR today. It took us a total of 366 days.
We have been married 7.5 years and lived together the entire time (in Mexico). No dependents, no previous divorces, no criminal records.

Our timeline:

Application received Jan 5, 2018
AOR March 2.
Schedule A request March 6.
Medical request March 7.
Right to Permanent Residence Fee request April 4.
April 10 Application forwarded to MCVO.
Application started processing May 2.
PCC Request July 23.
SILENCE FOR A LONG EFFING TIME
January 3 2019 Decision Made on ECAS *and* PPR
January 16 CoPR received.

We didn't received AOR2 or Pre-arrival services email at all.
Hey I have a question for you. When applying did you spouses birth certificate have the embossed stamp on it or just a regular ink stamp? My spouses only has a regular ink stamp and I can’t find the info anywhere if he needs an embossed one.

I am a Feb 2 applicant in Mexico office. I received pre arrival last week and nothing since. We are 1 week from our year. No interview and no added documents. So I would think we are almost done. Omg I cannot wait for this process to be over.

Have you called and listened to the automated massage about your application? If yes what does it say?
Hi, I am interested in that automated message. What would be the phone number, where are you calling, what are the information needed (such ICU maybe).

Thanks for your reply.

Did you get any documents notarized(apostille) by a notary/lawyer in Mexico ? I am not able to find a lawyer/notary who can put an English stamp as
iOTE="lily.dmaya, post: 7519254, member: 833395"]Hi there!

My husband is sponsoring me inland, im from Mexico and they are asking for my birth certificate with this requirement.
  • Official documents issued by this country must be government-certified true copies (copies certified as authentic by the issuing governmental authority, signed and sealed)
I have here my original birth certificate that I have since my birth and I had used it for everuthing, it is signed but it has a stamp, no specially a sealed. Do you know if this counts?
Because I also saw that you can reprint your own birth certificate through mexican government page but this one seems less authentic, you just need to print it in a regular piece of paper. What do you think?
[/QUOTE]
Hi, all you need to send is what we call in Mexico "copia certificada". Just your regular oficial birth certificate, doesn't need to have any special seal, jsut the regular stamp. That's what I sent and it was ok. You don't need to notarize your birth certificate but you do need to have it translated by a certified translater ("perito traductor") I recommend you look for one that is registered with the Canadian embassy, that way you know it's official and will be accepted.
