Update:
A friend submitted his passport on the 4th of January and it was approved on Friday 18th.
There's no pattern to Accra's processing.

Okay. A friend got the 'in process' mail this morning and she got an update in the evening. Hopefully you'll get an update tomorrow. But if your travel date is really close, I don't think its a bad idea to send another mail to Accra with your ticket attached.
Also, I have a relative who submitted on Dec 18th and is yet to get an update. He got the ''in process' mail this evening. In other words, Accra is still working on passports submitted mid-december. You'll get an update soon.

My application was updated last week Wednesday, I sent them a mail to ask if my passport is ready for pickup and the response was that it’s still in transit and transit takes 5-7 working days. Is this normal please?

What does your vfs tracker say?

Tracker says “processed passport dispatched on 17/1/19 to CVAC

Is that the final message? It may not have gotten to VAC. By Friday it'll be the 7th working day, send them another email on that day if you've not gotten the PUM yet with a screen shot of your VFS tracker.

Yes she sent a mail to them yesterday morning, got a reply in the afternoon and her profile was updated in the evening. She sent a mail to accra.immigration@international.gc.ca
