I don't agree. There have been cases when people got ppr in less than 3 weeks after submitting updated forms police clearance certificate and medical results.

We submitted updated forms and went for medical about 6 weeks ago. A couple of days ago I received reply from HKVO to my inquiry. The email says that our application is in queue for review. What this review could be about? Is review needed to initiate background check?

I think the review is just to verify the documents you have submitted. after you have submitted everything, it will take a while for the officer to look at your file again, there might be some delay due to Xmas holiday. People from hkvo usually get their bgc started right after they get their prearrival email.

Yeah till i get any update we can keep speculating. But I find it hard to imagine why checking of forms can't be completed by any junior level staff. After all what needs to be checked? Forms are complete or not? Or if the information is correct? Verify the documents? How during the review visa officer can verify the documents? Verifying authenticity of police clearance certificate, employment history, residential addresses, etc. must be part of background checks. Medical tests have been passed.
Anyway thanks for your input. Timeslines for different people are so different at every stage of the whole process. Trying to figure out what exactly they are doing at any given moment is a hazardous guess.

Why are things so different for each individual? I got ADR date first then they asked for documents to send before the date

To make things easier for you nd for them, maybe you will be referred for full hearing if evidence not sufficient.

If I understand this right, their lawyer ASKED for an adr and submitted documents to show why their should be considered for an adr. If you don't have a lawyer, you need to wait for your case worker to review your file to see if you qualify for an adr

I doubted it will take long for your bgc to start once the officer start looking into your file again, as most of us do not need to go through another eligibility review again. However in rare cases I know someone had been asked to submit additional document such as their most recent NOA for further eligibility review by the hkvo after they had submitted all the updated forms, ppc and medical

You have same situation like me, i have already a child but they do not consider it enough for having a genuine marriage. i am also wondering what would be the situation if i got refused in court as well. In Pakistan one cant redo nikkah and marriage, what would be the alternate?

Try to collect data as much as you can. My ADR was refused but I won an appeal. Don't worry. Even collect repert of pregnency. It was my second marriage and simple in presence of only 20 people but as genune marriage I make file more than 900 pages with diffrent section like
my index was divided in 13 section
1 all photos
2 all shopping receippts
3 all my visit to my husnabd and pictures and shopping receipts as well as if you stayed in hotel then hotel receipt
4 call records
5 what's app about 500 pages translated chat
6 name of spouse on benificiry documents
7 ragisterd marriage
8 letters from neighbour and family members
9 medical reports to making efforts for pregneny( in your case good you have pregnency report)
10 gift and cards send to each others and money send to spouse
11 tickts and boardinf pass
so you can collect all possible data to proved your marriage. I have age gap 10 years but due to my file I won apeal

already submitted my whatapp call logs of one year, wedding and post wedding pics, proofs of two visits of my wife, exchange of gifts receipts, nikkah certificate etc, what remains left?

Hey my stuff that I send for them I include a letter telling them the hard ship I will face if my husband is not allowed and how the hold process took a told on me physical spiritual and mentally and tell them that in there chater of right say Canada is a family country and family is not to be separated so I just all of that see differently in my case

Don’t be so stressed I went through the same thing and I just won my appeal I did not use a lawyer .Your best bet is to get an immigration consultant if you are in Calgary I can give you the number of my immigration consultant,she is very professional and has never lost an appeal
