I have applied for visitor visa online for my father, but after submission when I saw all the documents again, there was one mistake in cover letter of my father I by mistake wrote my mother death date as 21st June 2019 instead of 21st June 2018. But in all the visa forms I have mentioned it correctly and even I have attached her death certificate in the application. So will this mistake cause a problem or how can I report this mistake to cic.
Please let me know about this

No, this mistake won't affect your dad's application in any way. People do make mistakes and IRCC would know that this is a typo

Good day. I recently applied a visitor visa last December 29,2018 but was refused. I am the primary applicant together with my common law partner and our son who is 20months old. Our plan is to attend a wedding of my common law partner cousin and to visit her aunt and relatives who are Canadian Citizen.. Below are the grounds of refusal; 1. I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179b of the IRPR, based on your travel history. 2. Based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence. 3. Based on the purpose of your visit. 4. Based on your personal assets and financial status. Documents submitted online: 1. Business registration and permit 2. Departures and arrival stamps from Hongkong, Macau, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Cambodia. 3. Invitation letter from common law's Aunt 4. Bank Statements, bank certificates, Stock certification with total amount of 80,000CAD It was my first attempt to apply a visitor visa. My siblings and my mother stays in the philippines. I have a business to run to and its doing well. I have no plan of overstaying in Canada given a chance to reapply. I wanted to reapply soon and it is allowed because I was informed that you have to wait 6months to reapply again. Also, what other documents should I present for them to give us a visitor visa? Thank you

Hey Buddy, not sure why you got #4. The stocks certificate usualy does the trick. Anyway,

1. Include all your properties and investments (land titles as well)
2. Travel history was not very convincing since these are visa-free countries for Phil. Passport holders, except for SoKor.
3. Been reading a lot about this, most of the cases I read ended up using “travel” as primary purpose, then they just supplied a very detailed itinerary. Worked for them.
4. This worked for me: I submitted savings account (just deposits) and chequing account (used for d/w).

Again, case to case basis. Good luck Lucas.

Thank you Dann for your reply
I will keep in mind your suggestions. As to the travel history issues, yes its true we frequently travelled to visa free countries. I tried getting a Tourist visa in US but was refused also. That was way back 2001 and cant do anything about the travel history since I was denied of it. Again, thank you.
