Hi,

My application reached to CIC on 23 Nov. I applied from Toronto. My Passport is going to expire end of this month. I didn't receive AOR yet.

Now, Should i go ahead to renew my passport or wait until processing is finished. It may require two months to get the new passport. Will that create any issue on my citizenship application processing ? What are your thoughts ?

If you are travelling or plan to travel in next 4-5 months, you can renew your passport and send the new passport info to CIC after receipt of AOR. Else, it is not required in my view.

Having new passport does not delay your application, but not disclosing your new passport information can cause delays.
